Profile: In the late 90s, a small guild called the Night Parade came under the blanket of the UGoI-ESF. With that, many new members were introduced to the storyline, and one of the most prominant was Blackstar Wolf. A loner with little trust, if not outright paranoia, she'd managed to find love in Ryan Moonster, whom started UGoI's next guild under their blanked called the RMoA. What she didn't understand, or maybe she did, somewhere down deep inside, was that she was no longer alone and that others cared for her. Once she did realize this however, she tried as hard as she could to push them away, (in her mind to protect them from harm that would surely come to them because of her.) But no matter how hard she tried, she found that a very small bunch was just as determined to help her as she was to keep them safe.
Often times, Blackstar exhibited signs of being suicidal, or doing things stupidly dangerous rather than asking the help of her friends... Especially during Ryan long disappearances, which were admittedly frequent. It was not uncommon to see Edgar, or Rae hanging around her den as a friend as well as an (unknown to her) body guard. Walker took a more direct approach, and more then once she ended up sealed in her den, or otherwise detained because he didn't want her hurt, and she refused to let him help her in one fight or another.
Later down, Walker found out that she was about to accept their offer and in no uncertain terms would allow it. He ended up once again sealing her in her den with the idea that she wasn't going to get out of it unless she told him who was behind it so that the "Crew could beat them down" Blackstar couldn't and/or wouldn't take the chance of anyone else getting hurt by these people and refused to tell him. Just as she was backing up for another attempt at the barrier, Walker's brother, and the son of Renki' Sar Kane, Joseph, froze her in place as Walker dropped the barrier. Joseph then connected with her mind and was able to retrieve one name before erasing any trace that he had been there. She was then free to go on the promise that she give them a little time to try to put a stop to those that continually attacked her and her family. Only to challenge the villain to a fight to the death (Which she won).
However, this victory was only a minor pleasantry, as she still longed for the missing Ryan Moonstar, and mourned the death of those whom had been so important to her in the past. This all lasted until she began a journey to the north once more... To her homeland. Chance brought her upon Kilthana Draket, son of Rae and student to Ryan Moonstar. He encouraged her to let him join her, and through their misadventures, he found he loved her. However, Blackstar was certain her love would return to her, which burned jealousy into his eyes. At first he came off as understanding, he later flooded her memories with visions of her husband's fall and promised her that there was no way Ryan was going to come back. She still kindly refused him, and this set him to a rage. Eventually, somehow, Kilthana was killed by falling to the cliffsides, and many came to blame her, including Rae herself.
While Rae seemed understanding after the situation was finished, the words hurt Blackstar's paper-thin confidence already, and as Kilthana was returned to life, Blackstar became more withdrawn, focusing on combat of her enemies which nearly got her killed. This was not to happen though and again she found herself back in Rhy'Din, in her den. She laid there unconscious and barely alive, sustained only by the souls of her pack until her daughter tried with every bit of strength she had to heal her, but the wounds where far to grievous. Panic stricken, Walker was taken to the scene, who was able to speed up the natural healing process. Both stayed with her until she was healed enough to at least take care of herself.
Once mostly healed, Blackstar again attempted to use the souls to put her back in the mountains. Believing that she shouldn't be here. That she would only bring more trouble and pain if she stayed. Walker noticed her attempt and raised the Mage's Seal once more around the den that would not allow her to pass through in any way. Through the series of exchanges brought by Blackstar, a mind-link was opened by the spirits within, and soon Walker knew of her histories... Of her original den slaughtered by Drow. As she seemed recovered, Walker wandered off as he usually did, and Edgar and Blackstar proceeded to take on the Drow community. By the time they were finished, only a very few of the Drow remained alive and were forced to leave their home.
Both Edgar and Blackstar were pretty badly beaten up, and Blackstar had been poisoned but somehow, both of them had survived. Edgar was able to heal Blackstar's wounds and purge the poison from her body, and they slowly made their way back to the field of blood, (her old home) as Blackstar called it, so that she could finally feel some peace at last as she bid the place a final farewell. They camped out at the edge of the place for the night. Sometime in the middle of the night, Blackstar awoke with an urgent need to go into the field. With Edgar watching from the edge, she wound up at the exact center of the field and tilted her head back in a long howl.
The howl was not only her own, every soul she carried voiced their own howl along with hers. This was not uncommon as it had been this way every time she howled since they had inhabited her, but this time it was somehow different. It was as if they were happy. Out of nowhere a wind kicked up around her and one by one each spirit left her in much the same way as they had entered. The restless spirits of her pack could now finally rest and leave the field far behind. When it was finished, much of the raven black, natural coloring returned to Blackstar, leaving only a small fleck of gold in her right eye and the tip of one toe on her left paw a silvery white.
With the peace of the souls within her, Blackstar was able to return home, only to find that Ryan and Issuria had returned from their missions. Though Issuria's jealousy for Blackstar and Ryan's relationship eventually ended trust with Issuria as well, Ryan and Blackstar end up with a happy ending, and are not only married but live in their castle. Since then, while other UGoI had disappeared by 2003, Blackstar remained in her own part of Rhy'Din, active and around. When 2008 showed the resurgance of the UGoI, Blackstar was called back to the community to reconstruct the UGoI as a whole. To this day, she remains on the High Council, as eager as he to see the restoration of greatnes.
Personality: Blackstar is very much a fish out of water. She enjoys competing in the Mass Spar circuit, and is fascinated by the outside world, but she is also very much naive in the ways of the world. Having lived along for most of her life in the Rhy'Dinian forest, Blackstar is not exactly the most cosmopolitan of individuals. She prefers the peace of the forest, and doesn't care for its wanton destruction and exploitation.
Walker's Comments (Spoilers, misc. details)
Strengths: Blackstar's strength is the unexpected nature of her combat moves. Blackstar is a hulking beast yet she jumps and flips and rolls. She is quicker than you think she could be. Her rolling attack comes out of nowhere as does her electrical shock. Blackstar also isn't a ravenous beast... she has a brain.
Weaknesses: First off, where Blaackstar has a brain, it is harmed by her bestial transformation. She may surprise an opponent at first since she isn't just a beast, but she is not too bright beyond that. Furthermore, her leaps and flips and rolls are only new once. Eventually an opponent will know what to expect and be able to deal with Blackstar's attacks, causing Blackstar to lose her edge. Blackstar also spends a lot her time being angry.
