Profile: In 1999, Walker Akero and his UGoI-ESF came to a land called Rhy'Din, and eventually came across one Renki' Sar Kane and his small band called the Night Parade. Upon taking Night Parade as UGoI's second guild under the forum, Walker got to know several of the key members, and one of which was Edgar Bellmont. He was a tall, fresh arrival into this world as well, with a heavy sense of duty and moral righteousness that measured the UGoI-ESF level... And at the same time carried their animosity and take-no-prisoners attitdue on the various evil entities of the world... Indeed he, himself, an Celestial creature known as a Lional.

Edgar Bellmont spent a great deal of this time in the Mass Spar Arena, beating it out with other warriors of the land. He befriended a man named Edward Freeknight, and created a treaty with him that allowed Edgar the right to build on his land. Indeed, Edgar built there what would become known as the Sheffield Arms Inn. Though he held a kingdom elsewhere, he often spent more time in Rhy'Din than he did there, leaving it's rule to delegates and concentrating on his romance with a girl named Angel... A girl he'd come to marry. Likewise, he began to attempt the creation of a guild called the Knight Protectors, which was a small band of do-gooders. This would eventually become the House of Bellmont guild.

Things began to turn for the worst for poor Edgar Bellmont along the year 2000. With the adoption of Orion Bellmont, everyone and their sister's ex boyfriend ran to have the last name of the epic slayer of all things evil. In the wake of a giant war Edgar and Walker rallied against the growing slaver population, Edgar decided to pick up where he'd left off with the Knight Protectors and create a new guild, the House of Bellmont, to celebrate what seemed to be everyone's dedication to his name and his cause...without realizing they just wanted the cool name. He likewise co-started another guild, SoRNR.

HoB grew into a large guild under the UGoI, but as it was filled with people variously from Rhy'Din that did not share UGoI's beliefs in honor (and in fact was filled with mostly attention-screaming drama whores), a certain rivalry grew between the UGoI-ESF and the House of Bellmont. Things were often uncooperative, and what's worse is Walker and Renki's constant disappearance in search of Gameron Garcross. Things began to fall apart, and it spread to HoB and even his own wife, Angel Bellmont, to which they divorced.

In 2001, Edgar had finally had enough, and was overcome with a deranged insanity. He kidnapped Hannah Kiiro, and caused a guild-wide battle against him to try and rescue the girl and return him to his senses. While this was successful, Edgar still had too much apprehension about Rhy'Din after years of dealing with the most melodramatic attention whores he'd ever seen, and soon cut everyone off but a chosen few, and mostly gave up on the guilds he ran entirely to persue a more frontline career, persuing crusades with his kingdom against evil. By 2003, he would only return once a blue moon.

In 2008, all that changed. With the constant run-ins with his old enemy, Rhine, Walker found himself with little to no allies in the matter until the arrival of Rahan from his several-year disappearance. Like a magnet, this caused the return of several old members of the UGoI--Kyla, Blackstar, and Edgar himself. With his return, UGoI's forum returned now to active status, and Edgar was appointed the new Chief Justice in the absense of Renki' Sar Kane's turn to the dark side. With his fellow members of the UGoI, Sheffield Arms Inn remains the gang's hangout, open for business.

Personality: Edgar was created as a stereotypical royal academic authority -- traditional, stuffy and devoted to books, possessed of an acid wit but charmingly shy around women. However, because of the writer -- and the masterful performance of Scott Antman -- Edgar turned out to be much more complex, and became one of the more fascinating characters in the UGoI-ESF. However, the stereotype is still accurate. Edgar is devoted to knowledge for its own sake, and appreciates people who have similar goals (giving him a strong working relationship with Rahan). He does have an acid wit and does not suffer fools gladly (making his working relationship with Walker difficult). It should be noted that Edgar has a melancholy streak, and when he feels truly despondent or helpless (e.g. the Angel case, or much of 2002) he tends to drink. This never happened so much that Edgar became an alcoholic, but it happened often enough to be noticeable.

Even before Edgar's dark past was revealed, he proved to be fiercely protective of his guild, even ruthless when he had to be. At first, he justified this as the proper attitude of a Guild Commander towards his members, but as they became closer, Edgar accepted his role of many's de facto father figure. Edgar saw no reason to apologize for this attitude when HoB was in it's prime, but after they began to suck the life out of him wanting attention, Edgar realized that the important ones had grown up. Edgar realized that it wasn't healthy for others to be so dependent at a time in their life when they was supposed to be coming into their own as an adult -- and he also realized that because of his own feelings, he wasn't inclined to stop others from leaning on him. So, at the midpoint of 2002, Edgar made a clean break and moved back to his kingdom. However, over the remainder of the events (especially the latest year) supernatural threats made it necessary for Edgar to reenter UGoI's life.

Tends to be a bit haughty, and often impatient when dealing with Walker. But he's a big softy underneath, if only he didn't have to make sure everyone was prepared to fight evil all the time. Despite his royal upbringing, Edgar is far from a gentleman. He considers himself to be the consummate ladies' man, and can't resist hitting on pretty girls. He does take his duties seriously however, and puts everything aside for the safety of his kingdom and its people. Edgar is a loner, through and through. His people have always protected their kingdom, and he is determined to do such as well, alone if he has to. Although he begrudgingly accepts others' help, he refuses to get close to them. He warms somewhat to the carefree and friendly UGoI, but remains mostly gruff to the others. Due to Edgar's general lack of major interaction with other characters lately, it is hard to give an actual personality to Edgar. His most recognizable character trait is his devotion to Rahan. He follows Rahan everywhere and does all he can to aid the former treasure hunter.
