Profile: After Abby left him in 2003, and the UGoI effectively gave way to total inactivity with no end in near, Walker gave himself over to the bottle. His life's purposes ran dry for nearly every cause other than helping others, and even that seemed nearly gone. Through this, however, he'd go on many patrols and he ended up meeting some strange individuals in this time, making powerful alliances (Christian Sunfire, Ark'ah'zahd, the third Raven, etc) that, while not UGoI, were important enough to him tto give him some measure of purpose. Still, rarely did these entities actually need any help with their lives, for none of them were warriors but Christian, and well...Christian had is own band of fighters. Enter Freebird.
One night on his patrol from tavern to tavern, drinking what he could while observing his surroundings for villainry, he ends up conversationally something that catches young Freebird's ears, and as she comes over to ask on it, they end up talking. The entire night. A bond is struck here, more than any mere alliance could ever be, and not only did they feel they could help one another through their fellow troubles, but they soon felt a draw to one another spiritually that, while it seemed that Free and Walker are kind of meant for each other but in a way, you can see them become best friends. They would never verbally answer this call to one another, but the knowledge is shared with one another, even now.
Simply, it is something that cannot progress from there, due to their vastly different lifestyles and definitions on what love was to begin with. However, this bond allowed them to continue through many misadventures and several new enemies each, with Walker facing off the Vampiric assassin Jacob, and the dark paladin Damien, while Freebird got to taste the blood of people like Abigail Kiiro, and her soon-to-be husband Laocorn Maxwell. Walker met Jil through Freebird, and was often the first to stand and fight for her kingdom, while simultaniously never entirely fond of the culture there, including a disdain for public punishments (read: whippings) and polygamist-based relationship views.
This has also lead to many heavy fights between them, resulting in long and uneventful leavings of the other's presence. Indeed, there was a point where Freebird thought that Walker would never truly get over Abby, and therefore left the area to ensure she did not harm Abby...just at the same time Walker was completely getting over her. Akero would have to wait a over two and a half years before he'd ever see her again, with Freebird coming in in time to assist Walker with his initial confrontation with Rhine (and to warn him of Dona). And even then, this reunion was short, with Freebird and Walker getting into another fight of how one should punish someone who disobeyed an order and saved her people by doing so.
Indeed, Walker being a Chaotic Good entity, would commend such things, and aside from a rare chewing out, would never see harm done to his members in the Tank Battalion. Last seen, Freebird left mad. However, they still care very much for one another despite these things, and will no doubt drop everything to see to the other's safety, no matter the pinch or what previously involved in. This is the kind of bond shared between these two. A rich man would never have that kind of power, and precious few lovers could ever be that satisfied.
Personality: Pretty headstrong, but not nearly as much as Walker was in the beginning of the UGoI. Also has a slight tendency to keep things bottled up, except maybe around Jil, anyway. Her brashness, though, comes from some scars on her heart dating back to the attacking of her village. That will probably change or at least quiet down considering that threat is mostly, but not completely, gone. First and foremost, Freebird of the Fyrehawk Clan is concerned with the safety and well-being of her community. Most everything she does is with this in mind. In many ways, she is a true samurai (even more so than Walker), who thinks nothing of her self, but instead is totally dedicated to her home. On several occasions she has nearly sacrificed herself so her people may live and/or see their plans or needs taken care of. Although utterly loyal to her clan, Freebird does have personal feelings, including a romantic attachments. However, it is pretty much a give that these relationships will never develop, unless they decides to settle down and take up service with the same clan. Free comes across as a real hard case, but the truth is deep down she's a frightened child. She was badly rattled by the battles spanning, and only survived by following orders. Since then she has found herself lost in a universe she doesn't understand -- but she trusts Walker, and following him has worked so far, so she's decided she's in it for the long haul.
Walker's Comments (Spoilers, misc. details)
Strengths: Freebird is a normal but very athletic human, with many self-defense, detective, and police-related skills that she gained from her training as a officer of her nation's government.
