Profile: Piccolo came to Earth to assume the roll of "Kami-sama" (a.k.a. "supreme spirit," a.k.a. "God"), competing against a being called Garlic. In order to properly assume the role of Kami-sama, he divested himself of all his internal evil, creating the being known as "The Great Demon King Piccolo" (also known as Piccolo Daimo). After becoming young (and regaining a great deal of his power), Piccolo Daimao started killing anyone he felt could oppose him, as well as starting a reign of terror. He was defeated by Tenshinhan and Son Goku, but not before spitting out an egg that would later hatch into an exact duplicate of himself (a.k.a. Piccolo Ma Junior).
Many events occur in Piccolo Jr's life, including merging himself with his father's old good half (which shared his essense to live). By the time Piccolo had been trapped in Hell by saving the world. Eventually escaping, he created a grand campaign of bringing his people together, which inadvertantly brought him to one Abby Kiiro. Abby was Piccolo's biggest fan, having heard his stories growing up. So moved by her warrior spirit, Piccolo went on to adopt her and her sister Hannah like siblings and train them in his form of martial arts, Kyokushin kaikan. He also went on to meet girls named Shai and Reh-Bah, and through them was introduced to Walker Akero and his bunch. So began the UGoI.
Since then, Piccolo got romantically involved with Reh-Bah, and recognized the Demon that Walker merged with as the Grendel Demon, a being his father helped to create during his reign in Hell. This same Demon was inadvertantly lost, and unfortunately for Walker Akero, he learned he needed it's power in order to better protect Shai, who he'd fallen in love with and gotten together. Learning that Piccolo knew what the Demon was and where it went, Piccolo agreed to join Walker and Shai and retrieve it from Hell. Upon going through the nine levels tracking it down, they ran into Piccolo's father--the Demon King, Piccolo Daimao--and ended up having to face off against him.
The result ended with Piccolo Jr. and Piccolo Daimao agreeing to merge themselves together to grow their power equal to Walker's when he merged again with the Grendel Demon. Since then, he was known as Piccollo Daimao once more, and lived on as one of the greatest and easily one of the most powerful members the group had ever known. As time went on, although he developed a Human form for interaction's sake, he grew more and more distant, occasionally his evil and Demonic heritage he regained by fusing with his dad would take over and he'd attack the team. But more often than not, he was a loyal friend, and even went and had offspring with Reh-Bah.
In 1999, Piccollor was called upon to assist Lance with Rahan and Walker when Lance discovered the rising of a corrupt guild presence in their homeland of Anime Gaming. This guild believed to be the Orochi. The four of them fought against the most unbeatable odds, and through it earned the attention of the head of ESF, Vent. Approaching the both of them, a very strong friendship formed between the two, especially considering their shared Namek cultural heritage. Later down, an ex-member of the ESF known only as Trunks began a guild to fight UGoI and ESF, called the DSW. War broke out on multiple fronts. And through it all, Piccollo remained, although grew even more a loner.
Finally, Walker and Shai broke up, and the result on Walker was devastating. Constantly there as a support, Rahan and Vent helped Walker through the several months of hard times, but Shai and Walker had many disputes, and one too manty caused Piccollo to pick a side, ending his friendship with Walker and any that stood by him. And when the UGoI crumbled under half the members leaving, Walker turned to his friends. Piccollo, however, sided with Shai and never forgave Walker's harsh words to her, and Vent also got a break up with Jenn, and was therefore leaving allowing ESF to crumble as well. Even when his own wife Reh-Bah joined the new UGoI-ESF guild that merged due to it's losses, he never forgave them.
Since then, several feuds errupted between them. In 2000, Piccollo Daimao and Eimin Gutaika fought, as Eimin tried to bring sense to the green one to assist the UGoI in their trials, but ultimately Eimin failed, and lost the battle due to Piccollo's overwhelming power. While Piccollo was upset that Abby and Hannah remained in the UGoI, and even more upset that Abby and Walker got together romantically, Piccollo kept it bottled up until he came upon Sheffield Arms Inn and the several newer members of the UGoI in 2001. Edgar and Piccollo squared off at first, and then soon later it would be Piccollo Daimao and Renki' Sar Kane. However, thinks ended neutrally, at best.
By 2003, Piccollo's presence was more or less phased out, as his loner and unforgiving personalities finally drove him to leave many sides. Vent become of a Christian background, and when he tried to bring Reh-Bah to the religion, it infuriated the Demon King to cutting off that bridge, and Shai as well for being romantically involved with Vent. It is unknown what capacity Piccollo Daimao exists as currently, but things between Walker and Piccollo at the very least seem settled and neutral. Maybe one day, the great Demon King will join his old friends once more, and cast away his darkness once and for all, but only time will tell.
Personality: Piccollo Daimao was an archetypical Archvillain, plotting Walker's doom, cursing the incompetence of his underlings, and doing it all with gusto and style. His main short-term goal, of course, was to escape his Hell dimension prison and walk freely again. If he had accomplished that goal and survived without merging with his son, Piccollo Daimao would have ruled Earth as his personal demesne, with Demons taking Humans as slaves. Piccollo is very much a loner, preferring to meditate and practice his martial arts and chi techniques.
He is a stoic, with virtually no sense of humor and doesn't like to be bothered. On the other hand, he is very protective of his students (Abby and Hannah), and shows up innumerable times to help save Abby from certain doom. He is also vengeful and will not forget an insult or slight. Because he is an exact duplicate of the original Demon King Piccolo, his appearance frightens some people. Piccollo also wanted to kill Walker, but after training with him for a year (and battling Orochi and DSW) he became a close friend of Walker. He still is a rival of sorts to Walker, always pushing himself to try and equal Walker's feats.
Piccollo is a very strong fighter who is formidable in his larger form which towers over most people. He has a winner-takes-all attitude and will go to any lengths to win against his opponent. Though somewhat brash and egotistical, he can, like Joesph, back up his words with his skill in Chinese martial arts. Piccollo appears to have no respect or regard for anyone and will brutally push them out of the way to get what he wants, especially when it comes to making his points. Piccollo is angered very easily if someone continues to annoy him despite warnings.
Walker's Comments (Spoilers, misc. details)
Strengths: In terms of martial arts, Piccollo's greatest strength is his intelligence. He is very crafty in battle, and if given enough time, he can construct battlefields which will give him great advantages over his enemies. Even if he doesn't have the opportunity to do such things, he still is usually able to control the flow of a battle, forcing his enemy to fight on his terms. He's also pretty quick in human form too, easily on the higher end of UGoI-ESF's fighters. The greatest and most significant of his strengths, however, is his Chyou Kyoshin Jyutsu. Instead of becoming slower, like most larger forms, his speed remains. His giant form gives him an ungodly amount of strength, able to lay even the toughest of fighters on the ground in a single blow, and it also keeps his the ability to fly. With the addition of his stretching arms, they also serve as tenticles which serve as appendages with which he can overwhlem his enemies, restrain them, etc.
Weaknesses: While his giant form makes him virtually undefeatable, he tends to rely on it to a fault. In his human form, his martial arts are good, but not anywhere near good enough to challenge someone like Renki' and win. In a pitched battle, if Piccollo were unable to activate his giant form he would be in a lot of trouble. Also, the sheer size of his giant form can sometimes be a liability. He has, on several occasions, punched himself in the head trying to get opponents who got themselves onto him. Indeed, it's possible for several regular sized people to hang onto his back where he can't get at them. In addition, he has a severe problem with people calling him 'honorless,' and tends to get quite upset and a little sloppy when this is used against him. |
