Groundwire - Transister
"falling off the world you dont know what you're
doing..."
What is it that makes an album great? Is it the flamboyance of show,
or the creativity instilled in the music? Transister combines elements
of both, with a new style of electronic edgy melodic, and pop music.
When I first heard the album I was instantly grabbed by the originality
of the sound, and ideas that they had created. Through my experience
with music, I have found that to create true music you have do what
feels naturally to you. Originality is the key to success in the
business. Transister has accomplished just that, combining all the
elements to become successful. The most intriguing part that rarely
is found in music now of days, is consistency. Every song is equally
inspiring, as you progress through the album you find that each
song compliments the other. There is no song that degrades the other,
they are all equally interesting. Transister is on of the best albums
that I have heard in long time.
I can only wait and see what they put out next. Keely
Hawkes (lead vocals, etc.), an Englishwoman, Gary Clark (guitar,
etc.), and Eric Pressly (bass, etc.), a Californian Scotsman show
us music is not dead, just merely lying dormant, but this is a start
to a new beginning. I hope these kind of ideas lead us to a new
era in music. I highly recommend putting this album into your arsenal
of music, it is in every way a great piece of work and should be
heard by all.
