Mason Oliver Davis was born 23 Jan 1897 in Navarro County, Texas and died 24 Jun 1977 in Lubbock, TX.  He is buried in Lockney, Texas. He was the son of Charles Edward Davis and Sarah Annie Roberts, grandson of John Barton Davis and Christina Liming, great-grandson of Elijah Davis, and great-great-grandson of James B Davis.  He married Fannie E McWhorter on 30 Dec 1917 in Elbert, TX. Fannie was born 16 Oct 1899 in Denton, Tx and died 21 Feb 2001.   They lived on an adjoining farm with Mason's brothers, Alvah N Davis and his family, and Cyrus A Davis and his family, near Lockney, Texas.   Cyrus A Davis and family later moved to the Kress Texas area. Mason's dad Charles Edward Davis and his three sons farmed that section of land after moving there in 1925 or 1926.

Mason and Fannie Davis had six children.


1.  Katharyn Davis born 1919, married Wilbur Eugene Foraker.  He
was born in 1922 and died in 1988.  they had three children:

2.  Edward Oliver Davis, born in 1922 and died in 1993.  He married,
Maggie Mae Jones, born in 1928 and died in 1981.  They had four
children:  Second wife, Laverne.

3.  Kenton Davis, born in 1924 and died in 1998. He married Betty Mardis born in 1928
and died in 1982.  They had three children:

Second wife of Alfred Kenton Davis, Rosalie Rentz Metauer.

4.  Thurman Alan Davis, born in 1928, married Jewel Dean Wofford,
born in 1929 and died in 1973.  They had two children:
Second wife of Thurman Alan Davis, Lynna Jay Carter Jaffe.

5.  Loy Jackson Davis, born in 1934, married Sylvia Choate.
They had three children:
