Well, the 2000 Solo 2 season is complete and I'm still in
amazment. I've had a ball all year and exceeded my performance expecations in many
ways. The biggest suprise coming at the National Championships where I was 4th after
the first day, only .170 out of the lead to the famous road racer, Neal Sapp. I
eventually ended up 9th after some dissapointing runs on the second day, but still left
delighted with my overall performance. My lofty goal going to Nationals was to win a
trophy (which I did). The bonuses along the way included being 4th after the first
day and being announced in the lead of the National Championships after my second run on
Tuesday. That was just plain awesome and totally made the trip worthwhile all by
itself, the other stuff just made it better :-)
