// Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park
Skinny Puppy's music is not easy to describe. I think of it as some sort of alien version of industrial music with a horror touch. Their music has heavy atmosphere and haunting vocals that are never consistent. There always seems to be a weird echo with all types of spontaneous background noises, and lots of voice samples from horror films.

The vocals are monstrous. Nivek Ogre has one of the most unique voices I've heard. It's very difficult to understand what he's saying, but that's how it was intended to be. His voice sounds hurrendous and beautiful at the same time, and he uses it to paint terrifying images of society.

The songs on this album are all very similar in sound. They're all very dark, have sporadic sounds of machinery and destruction all over the place. If you listen to this whole CD from start to finish, sometimes it sounds like one very long song with different parts to it... the way a good album should!

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. I knew from the moment I heard Skinny Puppy, that this is what I was looking for in music, and had not found it before. This CD came out in 1990, but it sounds ahead of it's time even by today's standards. Listen to it with the lights off!

I give this album 8 / 10 stars. Yes, this is one of my favorite albums of all time, but that has a lot to do with memories... which I'm not going to let interfere with my rating! So, 8 out of 10 it is!
