GIFT REGISTRIES

We have selected two very different stores in order to make purchasing gifts more convenient for our guests. Depending on your preference, you may order gifts online using the links below (click on the logos), or pick up a gift at any Macy's Department Store.

Macy's is a very convenient choice for most people, since they offer several options for purchasing gifts. You can purchase a gift on the website and have it delivered directly to us, or if you prefer, you can visit your local Macy's Department Store to make the purchase. Local stores (such as Macy's at Stonestown Galleria, San Francisco) usually have kiosks where you can print out our gift preferences. Or, you can print out the list found online, and take it to any branch you wish, and they will be able to assist you in finding the item you wish to purchase. Registry gifts can also be purchased over the phone at 1-888-989-WEDD (9333).

Many people who like to shop online may find Amazon.com's variety, value, and ease of use preferable. There is no sales tax when ordering from California, and items over $25 will usually ship for free. Many of the items that are found in our Macy's wedding registry can also be purchased at Amazon at a cheaper price. If you feel at ease with purchasing items online, we generally recommend purchasing items from Amazon.com to save yourself time and money.

In keeping with Filipino tradition, a "money tree" will also be available.

WEDDING ATTIRE

Guest Attire

The wedding theme colors will be pale pink and ivory. No, you don't have to wear these colors, but feel free to if you wish!

The wedding attire will be semi-formal to formal, since it will be taking place outdoors and in the afternoon. It is typically hot in Sausalito during August, so dress accordingly. However, there might be a sudden breeze, so bring a light coat or jacket just in case!

Some suggested guest attire:

Women: A light summery dress or a nice blouse and pants.
Men: Nice pants and shirt (tie optional) or barong tagalog.

The bottom line is, we want you to be comfortable, so please feel free to dress up or down as you like.

Wedding Party Attire

Arlene will be wearing a strapless a-line wedding gown in white-ivory/oyster silk satin. True to the wedding theme, it will have the slightest tinge of pink, Arlene's favorite color. Unlike the wedding guests, the bride's attendants will also be forced to wear pink (hope they don't kill her later!). The bridesmaids, maid of honour, and matron of honour will all be wearing empire-cut sheath gowns in pale pink georgette fabric.

Ulysses, along with his attendants, will be wearing a barong tagalog , the traditional wedding attire for filipino men. A barong tagalog is a richly embroidered shirt with a sheer fabric made from banana or pineapple fiber. The barongs will be worn with white undershirts, plain black pants, and a black "barong tie" for Ulysses.
