GENERAL WEDDING PLANNING
- Here Comes The Guide- This is the best
place to look if you are planning to get married in the Bay Area. There are tons of information and
pictures about different Bay Area ceremony and reception locations.
- The Knot - If you are looking for wedding gowns, this website
has the best selection of wedding gowns online, hands down. It also has a lot of useful articles,
probably the best all-around wedding website there is.
- Wedding Channel - The main feature of this website
is their online registry information, but they also have a lot of miscellaneous articles and tips.
VENDORS
- Craigslist - A great resource for finding talented and affordable vendors.
We found our videographer and photographer through this site, and they are great!
- Sense of Light - Website of Keith Nelson, our photographer.
He did a wonderful job at my sister's wedding, and can't wait until he does mine!
- Classical Sound Productions - After Ulysses heard them
playing at SF Shopping Center, we decided to hire these talented musicians to play at our wedding.
- Trudys Brides - This is where I got my wedding dress...they
have excellent service, and they have a dress for every budget, big and small!
- Jessica McClintock - A great place for bridesmaids
dresses, with a great selection, and affordable prices.
- PartyBlock.com - They are an online reseller of
Regency Invitations, and sell really great (and cheap!) invitations.
Probably the best deal out there for engraved invitations.
- Just Desserts - They have the best chocolate cake in
the bay area, and they make beautiful and affordable wedding cakes, too!
- AAA - Nothing beats "Triple-A" when it comes to planning the honeymoon. We
were surprised at how easy and cheap (cheaper than most online places!) it is to book our honeymoon through them. The only drawback is that you have to be a member.
SHOPPING AND REGISTRY
- Macys - Great place to register (you do it through Wedding Channel). They have almost anything
you can possibly want as a wedding present, and you can buy both at the store, or online
- Amazon.com - If you can't find it at Macy's, you'll sure find it at Amazon.com. They sell
everything under the sun, and cheaper than most places too! And nothing beats free shipping for orders over $25!
