Seito's Review:
This is yet another fanfiction that has become one of my all time
favorite fanfictions.
It has a wonderful plot, but this time, what really makes my heart clench (lol
^^;;) is the characterization of the fanfiction.
The different thought processes of the characters just suit them so well.
I may have mentioned this in some other fanfics, but 1101 has some of the
best scenes. There's this one scene where this... this most heartbreaking
line is said.
As well as characterization, the issues that this fic deals with are deep.
It's also interesting to see the way the different characters react to
something and I think the author has done this pretty accurately.
I have to say though; some Pluto fans may or may not like the authors
portrayal of Setsuna. I was rather iffy about it (still am) but I can see
where it's going, and it suits the fic. I think the author sometimes has a
tendency to refer to a particular character by describing their eyes a lot
(e.g. Cobalt eyes looked...).
So yeah. ^^ In conclusion, 1101 is one of those rare fics that has both a
fascinating plot and wonderful characterization. Especially
characterization. It's another one of those fics that you can't stop reading
until it's over (and though it's only 6-7 chapters, they are long).
Read it. Definitely won't regret it.

Life's Lessons
Summary: Several hundred years of ice have finally given way to the beauty of Crystal Tokyo.
But Beauty is fleeting, and one woman soon discovers just how corrupt a Senshi can be.
Genre: General
Rated: PG-13
31 Chapters: Completed
Published: 29-03-01
Date Completed: 08-08-03
Seito's Review:
I think, in all honesty, that this is one of the best Crystal Tokyo
fanfictions there are. Really, words can't be described as to the complexity
of the plot, the situation, how the characters develop, corruption...
This is set in an alternate reality from the Crystal Tokyo that we know
about. One of the best things about Life's Lesson's is the way the author
went from point A to point B. At first, reading the first few chapters, you
wonder what the heck is going on because things seem so different, and you
wonder who the hell Terri (the main original character) is, and what she has
to do with everything. And that's another good thing about this fic; the
suspense you feel when you read it.
Another thing about this, is characterization. In case you're wondering
about Mary-Sues, no, I don't believe Terri qualifies as one. ^^ The way
Kchan portrays her throughout the fic is wonderful, and though I may not
like some of her thought processes, they're very realistic. What's been done
with the Sailor Senshi is great too. There's this little section in the fic
about them that just makes me want to give Kchan a really big glomp because
it's so... perfect for them in their state. I like the dynamics between
Minako and the others and there are a few absolutely heartbreaking parts in
the fic that'll just make you lose it.
However, as much as I love this fic (and I really do), probably the
one thing that got to me was that some things were never actually cleared
up. One of them was just a matter of interpretation, but the other honestly
made me go "wuh?" The "wuh?" I felt (*snigger*) isn't so crucial to the
story, I suppose, as the fic functions very well without it, however, you
also have to wonder what the heck happened with it.
Right.
In conclusion, this story will grab you and it definitely will not let go
until you've finish it. Fantastic plot, as well as characterization, with
some of the most heartbreaking scenes ever.

Absolutely hilarious. XD

The Mask
Summary: Mina wonders about the line between duty and freedom.
Genre: General
Rated: PG
One shot: Completed

Seito's Review:
I had to reread "The Mask" when I was writing this review. Yet again, I
have to say how much I love Kchan's portrayal of the Sailor Soldiers.
The Mask is no exception. I think that Kchan really captured what Minako
must've been feeling just after she'd left England. Love the interaction
between Artemis and Minako as well.
^^;; Basically, I don't have much to say but this: The Mask is a really good
character piece that captures what Minako's feeling perfectly. ^^

First Times
Summary: Rei and Serena have a little talk.
Genre: General
Rated: PG
One shot: Completed
Published and Completed: 29-03-01
Seito's Review:
Right, so I don't have much to say here. ^^; I'm putting "Loyalty" and
"First Times"
together because they're both in the POV of Rei and I'd just be repeating
myself anyway.
Characterization is one of the big reasons why I go crawling on my knees to beg ask
authors if I can archive their stuff here. It mightn't have been faithful to
the original deal, but whatever the reason, I liked it.
Reading these two fics was like getting into the mind of Rei. The stuff she said was
just typical Rei (anime wise; Manga Rei is freakishly different to Anime
Rei). It was so suitable and really well written.
Makoto=human spark plug. *snigger*
First Times was a great portrayal of the friendship between Rei and Usagi. I
love the little nuances that we see of Princess Serenity as well.
... And that's it. ^^;

XD XD XD
I REALLY love this fic. It is absolutely hilarious. There are some
really funny lines throughout the actual fanfiction and Setsuna's thought
processes are just classic.
Again, there's the little thing with OOCness, but this time it isn't so
obvious. I can just see everything happening; Michiru and Haruka off into
their little worlds, Setsuna finally losing it... I love the little
dialogue that occurs right at the start of chapter 4. Overall, like "Odd
Adventures", it's just too fun to pass up and definitely worth a look at.
And yes, it's another favorite of mine. ^^

The Odd Adventures of Haruka, Sestuna and Michiru
Summary: Never a dull day with Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna. Wacky little Outer fics. Mostly geared toward the
Haruka and Setsuna fan, but Michiru naturally plays a large roll too.
Genre: Humor
Rated: PG-13
20 Chapters: Ongoing
Published: 04-17-02

Seito's Review:
One word. Kooky.
Each chapter is like a one shot detailing the day to day lives of Haruka,
Michiru and Setsuna. The stories are really cute/amusing/weird/all of the
above.
I think my favorite one so far is Chapter 22: "Stupid Elevator! Haruka And
The Kaiohs Spend A Birthday Together".
As much as I like this story, I also have to admit that it's very OOC. I'm
very anal about characterization though I give leeway for humor
fics and AUs. I'd say that even then, "Odd Adventures" would have really
crossed the line - but I still like it because of the wonderful plot lines. With the
exception of Hotaru, the Outers
are very out of character, especially Setsuna. Even if they are OOC,
though, it's just terribly amusing. It's almost like seeing this hidden side
to the Outers. The
plot is just really... fun and it's great seeing a different
interpretation of Outer Senshi in civilian life, together, as a family.

Retreat into Hell
Summary: Minako takes the Three Lights to a retreat in the heart of the mountains, with
plans to make them fall madly in love with her. Unfortunately things don't go
quite the way she planned...
Genre: Humor/Romance
Rated: PG-13
7 Chapters: Incomplete - Not going to be completed

Seito's Review:
This story is hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Character interaction is
fanastic. XD
In particular, I really like reading Minako's little inner monologues.
Chapter 1B has a hilarious start, as well.
What I really like about Retreat into Hell, though, is Sarah's portrayal of
Minako. In my opinion, everything Minako does in Retreat into Hell is really
typical of her character.
And I love her Rei, as well. XD There are just all these scenes in Retreat
into Hell that was just crack you up. They're sooooo funny. ^^
The serious moments are done really well, too. One thing that stands out
especially, is Usagi's letter to Mamoru at the end of one of the chapters.
It's sweet and the stuff that she mentions, as well as talks about... it's
so, Usagi-like.
Retreat into Hell is one of those fics where the funny moments will just
make your laugh like there's no tomorrow and where the sad moments will put
you into a melancholy mood (but in a good way ^^).

Tensions of the Past
Summary: The Starlights come back to visit Earth and their
friends... and must contend with some DRASTIC changes...
Genre: Drama/Romance
Rated: PG-13
14 Chapters: Completed
Published: 28-06-01
Date Completed: 26-12-01
Seito's Review:
First of all; first and foremost, I am a Seiya/Yaten fan. I like
Seiya/Kakyuu fics though, but I generally leave Yaten/Minako fics alone.
Tensions of the Past is one of those rare exceptions.
First of all, I like the way the relationships in this fic are portrayed. I
like the way Sarah shows us how the different characters feel, what they're
going through, their reactions and so on and so forth. As well, there are
bits of dialogue throughout the fic that just made me want to start crying
because it was so tragic.
And what I really love about Tensions of the Past is the ending, when
everybody (temporarily) says goodbye. Not everything is fine and dandy for
everybody, but it's well on its way to being so.
I mustn't forget Rei either. XD
Tensions of the Past is just really (bitter)sweet overall and like Retreat
into Hell, it's definitely worth reading. So read it. ^^
