Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug
Wilson closed off his day as strong as he opened it. In the
morning he announced the signings of Patrick Marleau and
Marco Sturm to multi-years deals. In the afternoon, Wilson
announced defenseman Brad Stuart had agreed to terms on
a two-year deal with right wing Scott Parker inking a
one-year deal.

Winger Niko Dimitrakos signed a new contract while
defenseman Kyle McLaren signed a three year contract
extension.
Aug 10 -
Thanks to two announcements, Sharks Executive Vice President
and General Manager Doug Wilson has now re-signed five
Sharks to new deals in the past three days. Unrestricted free
agent center Wayne Primeau and restricted free agent
defenseman Tom Preissing were the latest to agree to
two-year deals.
Aug 09 -
Restricted free agent winger Nils Ekman signed a new
two-year deal with Sharks.
Aug 08 -
The Sharks signed both Rob Davison and Jim Fahey,
two young defensemen who Sharks fans saw contribute during
the 2003-04 campaign, to one-year deals.
Aug 02 -
Defenseman Mike Rathje severed his 13-year connection
to the Sharks, signing a five-year contract with Philadelphia
-- a lengthier deal than the one San Jose Geeneral Manager
Doug Wilson was offering.
Rathje will earn $3.5 million each year of the contract
-- 73 percent more than he made his final seeason in San
Jose.
