DOING THE A
B C
When
should you teach the alphabet, and how? You can start when you think
your child is ready - it can be as early as three. If your child does
not seem interested at about age five, then try introducing, gently,
the letters in the alphabet sequence. At first your little one may only
learn only two or three letters in sequence. Don't give up! Persevere
and progress. As she learns the alphabet, your child will understand
that:
- the
alphabet is made up of 26 letters
- the
letters have names and sounds
- the
letters follow a particular order
