GOING STROLLER SHOPPING?
So you
are going stroller shopping? Keep these points in mind when stroller
shopping:
-
Open
and close the stroller a few times to ensure that the stroller locks
firmly in place and that all safety latches hold.
-
If the seat reclines, the head area should be completely enclosed
and padded so baby's head can't get trapped in the frame.
-
For infants, look for a cloth or plastic shield that encloses the
leg holes to prevent the baby from slipping out.
-
Check that the brakes work well.
-
Check to see if it passes the Convenience and Comfort tests. Convenience
- is it easy to manouvre, to fold (and unfold) and place in the car
boot, lightweight? Comfort - can it switch between reclining/upright
positions? Are any safety straps too tight? Can your child sit comfortably
in it?
