PROLOGUE
Life was one giant Ferris wheel. Sure, it may seem fun when you're a child, but as you get older, the cycle only makes you ridiculously dizzy. I was feeling that very dizziness after we arrived in Vegas, also known as Sin City. And as I entered I couldn't help wondering if Sin City would be a good place for me. I'd sinned enough in my life already.
The things that had driven me here would always be somewhere in the back of my mind. But I refused to allow them bubble up to the surface. This would be the start of a new life. That life was in the past, never to be revisited again, if I had anything to say about it.
I was still such a child, now that I look back on it. I had thought that I could run from the past, run from the things that I had done. But it wouldn't take too long before I realised how wrong I was.
