Personal History: Burke was adopted as an infant shortly after his parents moved to Victoria to open Bridges in Avalon. Burke's parents divorced shortly before his father's death, when Burke was eighteen, so Burke and his sister inherited the restaurant in their own right (though in a trust held by George). Burke has always loved the restaurant, but was more interested in managing than cooking. He is responsible for the restaurant's more recent successes, and has a tendency to work himself too hard.
