Personal History: Laidey took her undergraduate degree at UVic and received her medical degree at UBC. During her last year at UVic and her first two years at UBC, she carried on a relationship with Burke Avalon, but the two grew apart. She became involved with Ross Collier when she returned from university to work at GSMC and married him two years after their daughter was born.
