Note: The Archies, as heard on record, was a
group of studio musicians which featured
Ron Dante as the lead singer. The Archies was a comic
strip created by Bob Montana. It became a radio program
in the mid 1940's. It became a Saturday morning cartoon show
in the late 1960 's on our CBS TV network.
The speaking voices used for the cartoon characters in the
TV series are not even close to the ones you hear on
the record albums and when they sing on the show.
