16 charisma, 14 intelligence, 12 dexterity
- note that bards are very dependent on charisma and luck

Prefered race:
Romanae (23 cha, dex, luck), catfolk (22 luck, 24 dex, 20 luck)

Entrance Bonus: Bag of tricks, +1 charisma

Aria Level: 1 Skill: Singing
Syntax: aria <target> Cost: 10 + glev
While sung, your aria reaches a pitch that ruptures your opponent's eardrums, causing excrutiating pain and damage.

Fabricate Level: 1 Skill: Musicianship
Syntax: fabricate <type> Cost: 25 + plev *3
Using their musical craftmanship, the Bard learns to magically create various instruments depending on their guild level.
At each new Guild Level, a Bard lerans to create a different instrument and the Bard is always able to create and select an instrument they have previously leraned how to make.

Requiem Level: 2 Skill: Singing
Syntax: requiem <corpse> Cost: free
The bard is able to reach deep into his/her own soul and pay homage to the recently departed via his/her singing skills. In return for this solemn tribute, the Bard is rewarded by a transfer of life force from the fallen to the Bard.
(Feasting without fangs, very weak compared to fangs, weaker compared to Paladin's ceremony.)

Ballad Level: 2, 15 Skill: Lore/Poetry
Syntax: ballad <target>
ballad shift <target> <etho>
Cost: 5, 15
At lower levels, the Bard's ability to examine another being's history and lore and the Bard can tell which path they walk.
At higher levels, the Bard is able to take this information and sway them to another path.

Jest Level: 3 Skill: Performance
Syntax: jest <target> Cost: 20 + glev
Jest relies on the Bard's ability to be funny and entertaining. The Bard tells a joke and sends his/her audience into fits of laughter.

Warchant Level: 4 Skill: Singing
Syntax: warchant Cost: 35
Warchant calls upon Bard's emotion and singing ability to awaken the bloodlust and fury in his/her allies during combat.

Shamsay Level: 5 Skill: Charm
Syntax: shamsay <target> <msg> Cost: 20
Using the Bard's naturally high charisma and charm, the Bard is able to make it appear as if NPC is speaking. It should be noted that individuals with high intelligence or high in levels will be able to see through Bard's sham.

Sidestep Level: 5 Skill: Rhythem & performance
Syntax: sidestep <direction> Cost: 10
The Bard uses his/her natural rhythm and performance skills to slip in and out of a performance unnoticed by the audience. The Bard may not know if they were successful, unless of course the audience begins throwing things.

Bardic Level: 6 Skill: Lore
Syntax: bardic Cost: 40
The Bardic skill calls upon the very essense of being a Bard, the knowledge of ancient lore that is passed down through ages from Bard to Bard. With this knowledge comes the ability to use his/her talents to heal those around him/her.

Fandango Level: 7 Skill: Rhythm & Performance
Syntax: fandango <target> Cost: 30
A Bard, using their natural grace and rhythm dances a wild fandango in front of their audience. If the audience becomes captivated by the dance, the Bard can sneak in a few extra attacks, catching the audience unaware.

Legend Level: 8 Skill: Lore
Syntax: legend <item/here> Cost: 25
Legend uses the Bard's ability to tap into the lore of an item or area and see what information has been passed down by the Ancients

Brew Level: 8 Skill: Lore
Syntax: brew <ale/mead/wine> Cost: 5
The Bard, relying on the ancient recipes passed down through the ages, is able to brew ale, mead and wine from certain reagents found throughout the Realm.

Stormsong Level: 9 Skill: Musicianship
Syntax: stormsong Cost: 75
In older times, bards were often employed on long sea journeys. Legend told their songs could charm and placate wind and water, ensuring a safe and rapid voyage. Our modern somewhat weaker stormsong hails from that tradition. Stormsong calls upon muse and fortune to guard you, warding you from damage and sometimes letting you avoid it altogether. Once invoked, your stormsong protects you until next you leave the realm.

Attune Level: 10 Skill: Musicianship
Syntax: attune <instrument> Cost: 75
Reagent: Woodtine
With attune, you combine your ear for music and your desire to make everything sound perfect. Instruments can be tuned as many as three times, and tuned instruments perform better in combat.
(each tone doubles the instrument damage; works on Old katana as well)

Perform Level: 11 Skill: none
Syntax: perform <emote> Cost: free
Perform lets you showcase your talents in any number of ways. Basically, this works like a normal emote except it places a single * in front of the performance line instead of ::: blah :::

Sing Level: 11 Skill: none
Syntax: croon <stuff> Cost: free
Sing lets you showcase your vocal abilities by exhibiting your songs to your audience in a very special way. Instead of the normal 'sing' emote (Aarkin sings: blah), the audience sees the following:
o/~Aarkin sings, "blah." ~\o
NOTE: each line of lyrics are automatically capitalized.

Lullaby Level: 12 Skill: Charm
Syntax: lullaby <target> Cost: 40
While it's true music soothes the savage beast, its calming effect isn't restricted to fighters. It doesn't always work, but a proper lullaby can calm an attacker enough to make him lose interesting in combat.

Costume Level: 13 Skill: none
Syntax: costume <type> Cost: 1 crown, 40 sp
Costume provides clothing on-the-fly, for when you want to look your best for a performance. Allowed clothing types are: boots, dress, gloves, hat, leggings, scarf, shoes, tunic, and vest.

Harmony Level: 14 Skill: Charm
Syntax: harmony Cost: 40
While lullaby soothes your attackers, harmony goes a step further and soothes nature itself. harmony brings a sense of deep tranquility to an area, creating a temporary haven from most player attacks.

Dirge Level: 15 Skill: Singing/lore
Syntax: dirge <target> Cost: 50
Dirge is the definition of the vicious lie. WIth it, you combine your singing and lore skills to evoke the fury and wrath of an area's spirits.

Bladesong Level: 16 Skill: Charm
Syntax: bladesong <weapon> <target> Cost: 50
Bladesong directs your charms into a cutting weapon, letting it fight your enemies on its own. To use bladesong, you must have a cutting weapon in your inventory.
NOTE: While you can recover a weapon when it stops dancing, the process does damage the blade. The weapon loses any tempers or sharpens it had before you used bladesong.

Barfly Level: 17 Skill: Rhythm & Performance
Syntax: barfly <destination> Cost: 35
Barfly allows the Bard to hurry off to the Tavern or Pub of their choice for a performance.

Wail Level: 18 Skill: Singing
Syntax: wail <target> Cost: 70
Drawing from the depths of your spirit, wail allows you to emulate the deth keen of a banshee. Wail strikes all your attackers and may instantly kill the primary target.

Inspire Level: 19 Skill: Poetry
Syntax: dirge <target> Cost: 50
Inspire taps your poetic talent, letting you recite spontaneous poetry to refresh spell points and enhance guild skills. Inspire only works on others, and a player can only benefit from it every ten minutes.

Symphony Level: 20 Skill: Musicianship singing & rhythm
Syntax: symphony Cost: 100
Sing loud and long enough and nature will sing back. Sympohny taps your full bardic talents, inciting nature to respond with a fierce display of her own. Symphony strikes all non-players in your current room.
