The Forefathers of the American Nation Chose a Republican form of government in which a president is the head of the Administrative Branch. The declaration of Independence from England was signed by the fathers of the Constitution in July 1776. General George Washington was the Leader of the Revolutionary Army, and is the Father of the Republic and First President of the USA . We celebrate Independence on July 4th. George W.
