Welcome & thank you for visiting Wendig Haus Kennel. Founded by Leslie Vargas in late 1980's. Genaro came into the picture in 1996.  We keep this website as a online diary of our dog's progress & lives. We currently own the top four dogs at the left of this page.

Leslie and I believe in the GSP standard:  We breed for conformation, hunting instinct, biddability, sound temperament and and "BRAINS".
We train, compete & handle our dogs ourselves, would not have it any other way. We do what we say. We compete in the show & obedience rings and in hunt tests. In late 1999 we ventured into Field Trial Competition.  We compete in horseback as well as walking trials; Matter of fact, we finished Hunter at a big horseback trial where he won TWO stakes, Foot Handled!!!
In 2002 we finished TWO Dual Champions and earned two GSPCA Versatility Awards.
