Christmas and Yule are wonderful times to craft. I have wonderful memories of sitting around the kitchen table with the ladies in my care home making ornaments for the tree, cards, and gifts for them to give to their families. It's a great time to visit and make them smile with some of the ideas. These are great crafts for kids to, most of them are easy and require little real skill. Just a thought here, if you make up several of these items, please consider taking a few to a local care home or nursing home to give to the elderly. I know from experiance that there are many who will be alone for Christmas/Yule. Please take 1/2 an hour to visit someone, just go to the nurses desk and tell them you have brought some decorations and would like to visit with some of the residents and decorate a little with them. The will be happy to show you someone who needs a smile. Also please remember your local Meals on Wheels program who can lead you to home bound elderly. Thanks
