I don't like it. Jtrstar sent me a song this morning. The name of the song is "Quiet Nights" by Stan Getz & Astrud Gilberto. It's a great song, I must say. The best jazz I have ever heard. Many jazz songs are just instruments playing, but this one, it has some very nice singing. I like the voice of the singer and the saxphone. Oh how lovely you are , Jtrstar!!! I went to Coquitlam today. It is a city that far away from Vancouver. (for me, it's far.) Charlie drove about an hour to there, and again I was his netvigator. I'm glad that we didn't lose this time...lol. anyway, we had lunch in the food court in one of the ONLY two shopping malls in Coquitlam. I bought my lunch in a Singaporean restaurant, and I waited for my lunch for about 15 minutes... ok that's not the main point. While I was waiting for my lovely lunch, I saw the food safe certificate in the restaurant. (I don't know the other countries, but in Canada, if you wanna own a restaurant, you got to have the food safe certificate) It's quite sad to see that the certificate was just stuck on the wall without any frames, or transparent plastic bags but with thick oil, ugly coca cola, and a few soy sauce spills....sigh .... don't ya know what is respect?! I wanna ask the owner, or perhaps she is not the owner. But I didn't ask eventually coz I know nobody will care or treasure this certificate, but me. People say this is just a certificate to let EVERYONE know that the owner of this restaurant knows "SOMETHING" about hygiene, and so you can eat in this restaurant without any worries. BUT this is not the purpose of getting this certificate. The purpose is that you learn hygiene, how to prevent food poison, how to prevent the contamination of food in the class. And the "paper" is to certify you have the skill and ability to do those things. What am I talking about???.... I am angry just because they don't care about the certificate?? what's your business, Helen? But yes.... if I will have my own restaurant in the future, I will make sure that I frame my cert. And now ... I just put it in a paper bag, and sometimes I take it out and read.... I had fish before ..but they don't die so easy.. Today, I have an interview with Anne, the program head at BCIT. The interview was scheduled @14:30. Are you ready? ahh..... Comon...it's just a casual meeting. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I arrived BCIT at around 13:30p.m. and I lost again. This is not the first time I lost in the campus coz the campus is huge, but I eventually found the Rm 1225 in SW1. It's a laboratory!!!! At first, I wasn't sure I was in the right place until I saw the news board of Food Technology outside the labortory. Anne saw me and realized it's me (we didn't see each other before) so the interview started a little early @13:45 and ended up @15:00. She showed me all the equipment that I will use in the future. She also showed me the laboratory, the classroom, and the program content. Anyway, she said I will probably be accepted into BCIT, and now all I need to do is wait for the letter. well...I think I will probably take Physic when I finish Chemistry at VCC because Physic is one of the subjects that I will study in the first year. I wanna be well prepared for the program. hmmm.... I am going to apply for some awards and student loan....lol .... I really don't have the money for the tuition. 4.3.2001 (Wed) Sunny Today is just yo yo yo....lol ...my left forearm is pain now ...lol ..really pain ...lol... Happy....for no reason...just feeling happy. I went to school 2 hours before the class, and stayed at the cafeteria and wrote my lab report. After that I read realm, and here is what I read this morning... and (I think) it is so funny. TOP 10 ways to procrastinate: esp when you're on deadline. 3. Reorganize all the cans in your cupboard according to food group. When you get confused by the Spam, start again and do them alphabetically. 5. Make up new lyrics to "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." Call your mom and sing it to her. 9. Draw up detailed schematics for a machine to remove seeds from watermelons without puncturing the skin. When your friends inform you that you can get seedless watermelons at the grocery store, cry and ask why they never support you. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ wow.. heavy traffic jam on Cambie Bridge...Did I tell you that my apartment faces Cambie Bridge, and I can see the whole Science World, and half BC place and GM place (the stadium). It's so nice to see the light bul b at Science World flash and flash at night and also the night view here. I actually like my room. Not only do I like the balcony, but I also like the night view. Even though it is the smallest room in my apartment, I like it. I have a closet, a computer desk, 2 bookcase, 1 bed.... amazing, eh? ever wonder how I put those things in my 9.5 feet by 7.5 feet room? I have a 2 feet aisle in between the closet, desk and bed. I sometimes sit on the floor and read. I actually wanna have a mosquito curtain...but....my room is just too small to have one...lol...sigh.. Besides, my mom doesn't let me to buy one..she said there is no mosquito in Vancouver. are you sure? Well............. it doesn't need to be used practically.
