| 4.4.2001 (Wed) Sunny Do you have a car? or I should ask .. do you have a dream car? well, It's so common to have a car in North America. In HK, having a car is luxurious. well, I don't have a dream car, but I do like the kick-the-mother-in-law-away car....lol I was writing something on a large paper, and I am going to stick this paper on the back of room door. I always do this to remind me things I should do or remember, or things I shouldn't do. The last paper was the periodic table. This is what I wrote this time: If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting. New experiences give way to new ideas and opportunities. The key is too see what you can do differently to achieve different results. I decided that in every situation I should listen to my instincts and then do the opposite. Okay, that's a little extreme, but the concept fits. Remember you said "I wanna be an office lady." when you just graduated from high school? Then what had you been? You were a cook!!! Trying something different is one of the those rare opportunities where small leaps of courage can have a major impact on your life down the road. But notice that it's rare. Of course, seldom people like you, willing to try new stuff. Maybe you are still young, but something as simple as going to a restaurant and eating a dish you've never tried can help shift your current thinking. Or, listening to a new song can rock you out of the routine life. I think I will keep this paper until I attend BCIT. I wanna do something different during summer. What will I do then? don't ask.. I haven't decided yet, and that's why I wrote this stuff to remind me to try new stuff. 4.5.2001 (Thur) rain and cold My hair smells so good now. Wish I could chop a few hair of mine and mail it to each of you. But then I realized that if I really did it, I would have no hair.. hmm that's no good, huh? I have naturally curly hair, but I usually make my hair straight and tie them with a rubber band. However, I have been keeping my hair in curly style the past week. I actually like this style, and I think I am going to keep having curly hair this summer...lol the main reason of that is my friend told me that I look prettier when I have curly hair...lol.. thank you for saying that ....well I think I just look wilder ..not prettier.. of course.. curly hair + tank top... what do you think? I think no matter it's natural or artificial, curly hair gives people a feeling of wild. well well... who cares... I like it... :) wish you could see how wild I look like.... I think I am going back to "normal mode". That's mean I sleep before 23:00 and wake up @8:00...lol... yes I was in a "sleep-terribly-late-@-around-3:00a.m.-and-wake-up-after-9:30" mode...lol.... I got "the letter" from BCIT...lol... I didn't have time to read it carefully, I just scanned it this afternoon. It said I got fully accepted into BCIT into the first level of the food technology program. I need to pay a non-refundable fee of $200 immediately....painful..>.<... Honestly.....but don't laugh me..... I kissed the mail when I took it out from my mail box...I was surprised to see the mail today. I guess I have to wait for at least 2 weeks after the interview....happy. 4.6.2001 (Fri) rain and hail I finally tried hummus this afternoon...lol... it tastes really good.. you have to try it...you can buy it in Safeway if you are in Canada. And if you are in HK, I think you can find it in C!ty Super. I suggest you not to eat it with bread, coz then it would be too rich for you. You can try chips, or nacho. well...anyway... you must try it!!! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I don't know why American hate Chinese.... or only Bush hates Chinese ...or perhaps he just doesn't agree the system in China. Honestly, I don't like the way he works... " I regret that the missing Chinese pilot...blah blah blah..." boo.... what had happened is happened..... what are you doing?? just apologize, and everything goes on .....Chinese are not that mad.... YOU HAVE TO APOLOGIZE ANYWAY....I bet you.... you will apologize eventually....well... Americannnnnnnnnn. I had a dinner with a stranger this evening. The stranger who is actually my cousin name Man Yi. I felt pretty weird to have dinner with her since the first time we met was June,2000. and before that ...I didn't even know I have a cousin who's name "Man Yi" ??!! lol.... Charlie and I were so surprised to know that and also we were so refused to call her (the stranger) "cousin" .... but we call her cousin anyway.... last time she came to Vancouver with her mom, and this time she came with her husband. Mom told me that she got married last year, and the purpose of this trip to Van is to show us her husband. I can feel that we are not going to be close... but I like her.... she is very friendly and talkative.... not like my other cousins.... always stay cool... :p . 4.7.2001 (Sat) cloudy with a little sunshine I have been aching all over today.... from head to tail... no to legs... :( I had a bad headache this morning when I woke up. Then my neck, shoulders ,and arms ached...esp my left arm. At around 9:00, my back felt extremely pain. Then, in the afternoon, My thighs started to ache.... :(((( I think part of the reasons for the ache is that I didn't have enough sleep, and also I feel like I am sick with flu. I didn't take any medicine for the ache coz I know... I can feel it .. it wouldn't help anyway... I spent half more hour as usual to wash the dishes....you know why? when I washed the dishes, my back felt really pain, so I came out from the kitchen and sat on the sofa in the living room for a while... then go back to the dishes. My mom, Charlie and I went to the Chinese doctor again today. But I'm not going to say anything about that today coz my body tells me I need a rest. Goodnite mates.
