| 4.8.2001 (Sun) Sunny and quite hot. lol... I am such an idiot... My cousin's name is Man Lei, not Man Yi...lol... She and her husband went back to HK today, we drove them to the airport. However, their flight was delayed for two hours. So we drove them to Steveton Village where they told us they have never been there before and ate ice-cream there. I had a very nice conversation with Man Lei during the two hours, and I found that we have so many things that wanted to do in Vancouver. She said she can come to Vancouver at any time, but her husband can't coz he is a busy person. So she and I planned to meet again next time when she comes to Van with her parents. I'm glad to get along with her in such a short time, and I can't wait to meet her again!!! It's now 23:21. I wanna sleep, but I can't since I am cooking the herbal tea for my mom. It is awfully stink, and the smell makes me headache. I wonder how my mom drinks this without any complains. My shoulders, arms and back are still painful, but better than yesterday. I think flu, itself, is orginally the saddest disease. The sick person, himself/ herself, doesn't even want to recover it, and that is why when you have flu, it takes you a long time to get well. Charlie had a hair cut yesterday. It's a monkey head style, that what we call in Chinese.. hmmm... it's same as yours, mike.... how do you call this style? I dyed his hair into light brown tonight, and he looks very handsome.. :) He told me he regrets to have the hair cut. He doesn't like it, and he doesn't want to spend time on gelling his hair every morning....lol... well. 4.9.2001 (Mon) Cloudy and cool. You won't believe this, but I took a nap this afternoon. And I can feel that my body is complaining about not having enough rest. I keep refusing to see a doctor since I really don't want to take any medicines. Medicines can be bad sometimes... I wanna recover the disease in a natural way. I got a piece of mail from the government today, and it's the taxes refund. I love Canada government because every time when I am running out of money, they will send me the check for taxes refund. On the other hand, I hate Canada government because they didn't do anything to the bus drivers who are now happily on strike!!! My mom phoned me this afternoon while I was paying my XXX fines in the VPL. I called her back afterwards, she asked me " where did you go? swimming?? " :O .....I was shocked by her question!! Honesly, I didn't go swimming for a million years..... :) .. not that many years... but it is a long time. I was thinking if it is related to my health recently. If it is so, I will be in big trouble. 4.10.2001 (Tue) cloudy and cool with a little rain I'm feeling much better after a 3.5-hour nap. My neck and back still ache.... sigh.... Michael, where are you? I heard from my mom that the substitute is better than you....lol..though, I wanna see you. I've changed the layout of my page, but I didn't finish yet so don't give me any comments at the moment. Meanwhile, can you guys give me a new title of my page? "what a yoby" is suck. May be I should put in colour. I don't wanna use the backgrounds that Yahoo provided. Maybe I should put more links and that will make my page looks nicer. Maybe I should look at my cousin's page and see if I can get some inspiration from him. Maybe I should stop updating my page. Maybe I should go to see a doctor. Maybe I should sleep now. I am getting tired now....ok. going to be a sleeping piggy again..... hello and goodnite... 4.11.2001 (Wed) Sun sun sun sunny and warm ar.. lol I went to Army & Navy this afternoon and bought some stuff. While I was waiting at the cashier desk, a boy came in front of me and said "I love you."....lol He is so adorable. I wanted to learn so many things such as: 1. first aid, which I think everbody should learn. You can use it at any time, any situations. 2.para para, a very popular dance in Japan. I just want to learn it for fun. 3.sewing, just because I wanna sew my own clothes. I have so many designs in my brain; however, I don't know sewing...sigh... 4.Mandarin, actually, I wanna learn the Taiwanese idioms. I like it. ·F¹À ? ....lol 5.Japanese, I learnt it 2 years ago, but I found that I am losing it. If you don't use it, you will lose it. 6.Computer, in fact, I am so admire myself for making this web page. I have never learnt computer before except the stupid "logo" and "pascal" lessons in high school. I learnt computer by myself, but I know it's not enough, I do need to take some courses. 7.to be patient, I know I don't have the patience to listen to my dad. Oddly enough, my dad is the only one who knows how to drive me crazy. He knows what to say to make me angry. But of course... I will never mad at him....how dare me? 8. to take care the elders, as time goes on, my parents have relied on Charlie and me more and more. Honestly, I don't know how to take care of ...or how to take "enough" care of elders. You know ..... the elders and the youth are always be the most trouble one. I need to learn to care my parents more, to pay more attention to them, and let them know ( even they already knew) no matter what happen, Charlie and I will take care of them. well well.... list goes on... I think the list will be lengthened as time goes by. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I read the newspaper today, and it said mercy killing is now legal in Holland. And now Holland is the only country that legalized mercy killing. You know what is mercy killing ,rite? I think there is a special term for mercy killing.... hmm lemme check the dictionary.... Euthanasia. aha.... I learnt that word in high school, and I remember that we had a harshly discussion on this topic. Well, I personally agree to have mercy killing when the person is deathly suffering from diseases. (But it doesn't mean I agree it becomes legal) On the other hand, I strongly disagree that Holland legalized mercy killing. I am so confused now. I can't figure out that should mercy killing be legalized? Just imagine (case1) when you, or your relatives, one day, are lying on bed with killing pain all over, can't do anything to help, but waiting for death. or (case2) you have become a vegetable, and the doctor said you will not wake up. What will you do? will you still protest against mercy killing? I don't think so. However, when Euthanasia is being legalized, there will be another problem. The problem is that people will abuse Euthanasia even they have the chance to get over the diseases. That's what I don't want to see, and also that's not the purpose to legalize mercy killing.
