| to learn Mandarin since I already know how to write, and read. I just need to learn the pronunciation and idioms...lol My mom and brother speak fluent Mandarin. My dad speaks some Mandarin, but me... I speak none... well.. I can speak something like " how are you?" "·F¹À?" .... lol..... so I really want to learn it, esp when I know that Taiwanese idioms are damn good....lol. 4.13.2001 (Fri) Cloudy I like to wake up early in the morning even though sometimes I know I wanna to sleep a little more. Like today, I felt like to sleep 2 more hours since I am still a little bit sick, but I woke up @8:12...lol..... sor jor...lol Would you believe if I talk about "cars" with Cynthia ? Cars? Two gals ?! Strange!! I told Cynthia that I was thinking of buying a new car. They have a promotion now. Corolla costs only $239/month, 48 months, rate 1.9%. Camry costs only $299/month, 48 months, rate 1.9%......etc. Sorry, I don't mean to advertise this, but it sounds good to me. I know I can afford either one, and of course, I know I am not paying only $238/month. I am not an idiot. But the problem is we don't have an extra parking. We live in an apartment, and each suite has only one parking. If I am going to buy a new car, then either one of our "cars" will have to be parked on the street. Then which one is going to park on the street? Of course mine!!!! It's very danger to park a brand-new car on the street.... Hit and run , you know ? ..sigh... But what if the bus drivers are still on strike this September? How can I attend the "Bby campus" ????!!!!! sigh... (another Shelly). The first time I met her was two years ago in HK. She was Alfred's and Martin's teacher at that time. She and her family (husband, twin daughters and 1 son) moved to Walawala? (lol I am not sure the spelling) 1 year ago, and they came to Vancouver for vacation during the long weekend. Honestly, I like her... I like her very very much. She is nice and loves to laugh. She can speak fluent Japanese, and now she is learning Chinese....lol... and obviously she is so smart coz she can speak quite a lot of Chinese... and I was surprised that she understood (can't say completely, but 80%) when my mom said Chinese to her (in normal speed!!!) She is a vegetarian, and actually..lol... I wanna be a vegetarian as well. (a short term, not a permanent one). But you know it's hard to be a vegetarian when the people around you are meat lovers. Besides, just as a friend reminded me this afternoon, I can't give up the rack of lamb, cheese, and garlic. (Vegetarian don't eat garlic.) ...lol...be a vegetarian? maybe tomorrow....lol 4.14.2001 (Sat) cloudy but with lots of sunshine. If it is your fault, you got to confess. If I beat you, you got to stand STILL in front of me. Never let me run after you!!! I have no comment on this news since all the pilots went back to the US ...don't ask.. besides... SNORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG......can you hear me ?...lol I'm sorry if it bothers you ...lol...I had a stuffy nose.....again... 4.15.2001 (Sun) Partly cloudy and partly sunny.. Today is a big day for me. I eventually went to the US today. I was soooooo excited, and I think I am going to spend a few days to talk about the trip ....lol.. Lefeber Bulb Farm is the first place we visited. The farm has lots of tulips, but the tulips aren't very beautiful, so we didn't take many pics there. I went to the other side of the farm alone, and I saw a big grassland with some cows, oxen, sheep, and 2 brown horses, but I didn't walk close to them coz they seemed so scare of me. I stayed there for a little while. I like the smell of the grass... the fresh smell of the grass. I like the colour of the grass... the shiny green of the grass. I like the spring breezes .. the cool of the spring breezes. I will probably not be able to see and to feel this in HK. Do you know where is HK? and how does it look like? HK is a forest.... a clay forest. You will never see such a big grassland in HK. Unfortunately, we live in an apartment, and no matter how much I love to have a big ( or even small) grassland, I can't make a grassland on the Balcony anyway.... sor jor mei? ...lol ARGGGG... | 4.12.2001 (Thur) Rain I caught a movie with Anne today, but I didn't really enjoy the film, Joe Dirt. It's damn boring. I wanna watch Apy kids at first, but we missed it, and we didn't have any other choices. Anyway, if you are going to watch Joe Dirt. I would suggestyou not to waste your money. I look really pale today. I thought I was ok this morning but ....sigh.I hope I will be fine BEFORE Sunday. Talked with my family this evening, I found that I really want to learn Mandarin..( Taiwanese idioms)..lol. My brother said I should eat in a Taiwanese resaturant, and meet some Taiwanese. I think it would be fun and not difficult for me |
