Meeeeeeesch Well you know who Will House is but who on earth are the campaigners?? This is the profile on Meeeeesch, written March 2001, taken from the Kent Rivals site. Name or messageboard alias: Michelle Davy but better known as Meeeeesch. Age: 19 How long a Spitfire: Got into cricket in '95 after channel hopping one day and promptly saw Nick Knight get smashed in the head by the ball, fielding at short leg. Was England vs West Indies at Trent Bridge '95. Was interested as to how he was and kept watching. . . haven't looked back since. Went to the final few Kent home games of the '95 season - we won the, then, Sunday league (greatest moment of my Spitfire life) and I also saw Warwicks walk off with the county championship at the St. Lawrence. Growl. . . . . First game: Kent vs Glamorgan '93. They walked off with the title - didn't know what the heck was going on at the time except a load of welsh singing (enough to turn anyone off the game you would have though, but not lickle ol' me). Was dragged along to that game - not a cricket fan at the time. Lucky I wasn't scarred for life. Fave current player: Martin Saggers and Ben Phillips at Kent. Both serious stars of the future. Will House and Mike Atherton as well, otherwise. Fave all-time player: Will House of course (feel free to subscribe to the "Will House for England" campaign run by me). Cricket claim to fame?: Live right near Mark Ealham if that qualifies. . . . . Fave Kent ground: Got to be Canterbury but I love the atmosphere and surroundings of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells even if the seating (or lack of) is enough to make you need physio for life. Fave other ground: Old Trafford. Haven't visited many but gradually putting that right. . . . . Most liked opponents: Lancashire. We always seem to lose against them when I'm watching but they seem genuinely friendly towards the cricket public which is more then can be said of other teams. . . cough, cough. . . Surrey. . . cough, cough. Plus they got that accent thangggg which helps. Most hated opponents: Surrey. Not the fact that they are our local rivals believe it or not (though that helps). the fact that they turned up on a dark, cloudy day at Canterbury in sunglasses. And no they weren't light enhancing ones. . . . Completely traumatised me and thought they were a load of egomaniacs. promptly discovered they are. Warwicks as well - don't mention bowl outs or the like else I may resort to violence. Who would you sign for Kent?: Will House. . . PLEASEEEEEEE come backkkkkkkkk. Athers would be nice as would Michael Vaughan. And maybe a few more batsmen would be of use. . . . Anything else you'd like to add?: I'm not obsessed or a stalker - I deny all allegations to the contrary. The Kent team are grade A class. Will House for England. Ban Surrey from wearing sunglasses. Watch out Aussies cos England are coming. When will the cow jump over the moon??? And smile people :o)
