A Labor of Love

This cake really was a labor of love as I was incapacitated 

at the time, with a slipped disc.  With the help of two students 

who made all 1500 ivy leaves and 200 roses of all sizes, I was 

able to get on with making the rest of the flowers , lily of the valley,

java orchids and Casablanca lilies, combined with needlepoint ivy

completed the flower making, and it was all put together with just

one day to spare. I even had time to make a spray out of the

left over flowers, for the bridal knife, and a very happy day was

had by all, which as Mother of the Bride, I was gratified to see.
