About Sandra

My name is Sandra Taylor, and I was born in the south of England in the early 50's.  I spent all of my childhood traveling with my parents who were linked to the armed forces.  This gave me a an insight into how others live around the world and a love of traveling.

I first became interested in Cake making and Sugarcraft, when I started making birthday cakes for my children.

As is normal, this led to friends and relations asking me to make cakes for them and to me racking my brains for new ideas.

After a long time making novelty cakes, I found that I enjoyed the art of making flowers and other decorations out of a sugarpaste which hardens, and can be used to very great effect.

I worked for a considerable period at an establishment retailing the equipment involved in the craft I love, and, after much persuasion, I returned to college to take a course on foundation teaching, so that I could pass on my knowledge to others with a like passion.

My aim is to make cakes incorporating the ideas and colour schemes of the person that they are intended for, and to design a cake with their occasion in mind.
