Adoption Program

Many of the clients needing our services are from the lower income bracket and so are often unable to cover therapy costs themselves. We have identified 4 additional schools with children who need financial assistance to cover therapy costs. We would like to cater for these 80 prospective riders, doing 40 group-riding sessions for the coming year with each school.

You as a sponsor has the flexibility to choose a child or pony/horse for a period of your choice. Sponsorship of a child or pony/horse will include monthly updates on that child, a certificate of sponsorship and a listing on our website.

For a monthly fee of R400 you will be covering the instruction fees and transport to and from the school as well as a portion of the up-keep of our ponies and our adoption program will give us the financial power to employ our casual staff on a more permanent basis. This being the approximately 15 leaders and side helpers that are used to maintain the safety of riders while on the pony during therapy.

The adoptive patron will NOT IN ANYWAY have the right to remove or lay claim to ownership of a pony or horse, due to their financial assistance. The requisites and benefits of being an adoptive patron are detailed in depth in our "Adoptive Patrons Contract" and in our School Constitution.
