As you circle my world, you see a woman standing at the opening of my domain...you peer intently through the mist of the clouds, before beginning your descent, for you don't want to be deceived by an imposter. The mist is swirling and dancing around the earth. Slowly you look with wisdom untold. I move silently towards the door of my cottage, rays from the new moon glistening upon my body.
I lift my face to view the night sky, reflecting on days that have come and gone, I voice these thoughts with a Dragon Song. You cock your head, hearing music that comes straight from a heart that is filled with light and love. It drifts on the wind from a mountain high... to the valley below. You pause and listen, and then it vanishes with the wind.
"She is here! She is weaving magick!", you think to yourself. "And she shall not be alone." Slowly, you bring your wings back, allowing the wind to push your body into a descent, you view me, waiting, searching the sky for you.
I feel your wings carress my body gently, as you enter my world. Smiling, feeling you so near to me, I turn and wait by the altar for you. You see me there, clad in my cloak only, knowing I am naked under, for nakedness is a requirement for the ceremony I am about to perform for you.
I reach for the intricately carved box, bringing it out from the folds of my cloak. The teakwood box is carved with stars, comets, and the silver symbol of the new moon. Along the side is carved a great wonderous Dragon. The Goddess presented me with this beautiful wooden box on the eve of my first dance under the moon. She knew that one day the mighty Dragon would seek my help. I work my fingers over the carvings, first tracing the comet to the path of a star, the star's light falls on the dragon which dwells on the side of the box. This path is the key that opens the box.
We hear a click, and the top of the box slides open, revealing the contents. The ancient jewel encrusted dagger!! I hear your intake of breath... sharp... as this is something that can bring harm to you in a decidious way. I look at you, and look deep into your eyes, and tell you....
"Never fear, my beloved, I have the power to destroy this... it shall never be capable of rendering you harm".
With those spoken words, I reach up and unclasp the ancient silverdragon broach that is holding my cloak around my shoulders; it falls to the ground, revealing my naked body, glowing silver in the moon's light.
Placing the box on the center of the altar, between the cosmic egg and the icon of the Dragon, I begin to chant, calling upon the Goddess to help me. Sprinkling some belladona dust onto the dagger, I chant...
"I conjur you, strong spirits, in the name of the Goddess, truly this is the sword of the mighty Dragon, with which he accompanied his miracles and mighty deeds, may the sword be effectual for the Dragon, and may the Lord of it approach and serve the Dragon".
As the dust of the belladonna touches the dagger, we see it begin to melt. I start fumigating the sword with the smoke from myrrh and saffron, all the time conjuring the demon that has possesed this dagger, to retreat.
I take the dagger, and with it trace a circle into the earth, commanding that the demon flow from the dagger into the circle. We see a blinding light emmanate from the dagger, and we hear horrible moans. The light shoots into the center of the circle, and the earth lifts as the demon descends into the bowels of the earth, screaming obscenities at us, screaming because of his submission to my powerful magick.
I stand inside the circle, and taking a mirror, which has a copper backing, I trace the names of six servants that I've called...
Rowan Lasher Maybair Ancient Evelyn Gifford Ermengold
I command the servants to go and enter the ground with the demond of the sword, and hold him there for all eternity, administering to his needs and keeping him captive.
As a covering, I lay a piece of wool that has been soaked with the blood of a bat, over the mirror.
The open wound of the earth closes, and all disappears, to be kept safely at bay, for all eternity.
I turn to you and smile, holding out to you what is now your mighty sword, the one you've been without for a long time, the Sword of the Dragon with the ruby eyes.
You smile into my eyes, and bid me adieu...
flying into the light of the new moon looking back at me wielding your powerful sword... knowing... we shall meet again... soon.... very soon |
