INFORMATION: These are similar to the Pre-Paid Paper Phone Cards, but of course they are hard plastic and are very common kind of calling cards in many places around the world. They too are becoming more and more popular around the world because they are in-expensive to produce and they can be easily re-cycled when discarded. The way they work is that each card is sold with a unique pin-code which would identify it. Then when you buy it, you call a company that has made and sold the card, then they (either through personnel or computer) assist your call and route it to where it needs to go. In doing so, they know by that pin-code the initial denomination of the card (initial amount) and as you proceed, they reprogram the amount relating to that pin-code until the amount is exhausted. These may replace most of the calling cards because they can be carried in a purse or wallet together with credit cards and most important is that most of them CAN be recharged. There are online accounts which allow you to recharge the card automatically or manually as you see fit.
