Modhera

Patan

Patan is famous for its Rani-ki-Vav, which was built in the 1050 AD and named after Rani Udaymati, wife of Maharaja Bhim Deva. The stepwell is the oldest and perhaps the grandest among the 120 stepwells in Gujarat. It is 140 Kms from Ahmedabad
Mahudi
|
Situated on the bank of the river Sabarmati, Mahudi is
center of pilgrimage for the Jains and Khadayata Banias. The Jain temple is dedicated to Vir Ghantakarna. Jain Muni Buddhisagarji had observed a long period of penance here and had inspired the consturction of the new temple. Devotees offer "sukhadi" to the reigning deity. It is 77 Kms from Ahmedabad.

Taranga
|
Nestled in the hilles of Taranga, is the temple dedicated to Ajinath, the 22nd Tirthankara of Jains. It consists of a grabhagriha, ambulatory and three balconies windows filled with fine grills. It is 125 Kms from Ahmedbabad
