To export a gdsii file, go to the main icfb window and use:

File >> Export >> Stream ...

The following window should appear.

Click on User-Defined Data.

Make sure that Convert Pin to is set to geometry. Input the correct Layer Map Table. In this case the file name is "gdsMap003"

Click on OK.

In the main Stream Out window, use the Library Browser button to select the file you wish to export. Leave the Run Directory as ".". Keep all of the other default options and input a desired output gdsii filename in the Output File area.

Click on OK.

If there are any errors, you should see them in the main icfb window. When the export succeeds you should see the following window.


To import a gdsii file, go to the main icfb window and use:

File >> Import >> Stream ...

The following window should appear.

Click on User-Definied Data.

Input the filename of the correct Layer Map Table. In this case the file is "gdsMap003".

Click on OK.

Enter the name of the gdsii file in the Input File section. Then enter the name of the library where you would like the cells created in the Library Name area.

Click on OK to begin the import process.

Any errors or warnings should be shown in the main icfb window. When the import process succeeds, you will get the following window.
