My Vehicles

electric_ave.jpg (314715 bytes)halfbreed3.jpg (64856 bytes) My '92 Wrangler. It came to me as a 4 cyl., 5 speed, hardtop in bone stock condition. Since then, I have swapped to a CJ nose, full width 3/4 ton axles, 6 cyl. Turbo Diesel Volvo engine, spring over lift, rear buggy leafs, 12,000 lb. Tensen winch, full cage, and much, much more. Click for the full story and complete specs. (coming soon)
2doorxj1.JPG (60547 bytes) My newly purchased '87 XJ with 4.0, 5 speed, and Off Road package which included front and rear tow hooks, skid plates, and a Dana 44 rear axle with limited slip diff. Click on this text for more info.

Some Of My Previous Vehicles

stockxj.jpg (79271 bytes)chtwisted2.jpg (70373 bytes) This is my '88 XJ 4x4. It has a 4.0, AW-4 auto, and 3.54 gears. Options include A/C, tilt wheel, and cruise. Mods include 3" Rough Country lift, Lowrance Globalmap 100 GPS, Dodge rear spring packs, 4 wheel disk brakes, adjustable on the fly proportioning valve, and other little gadgets. The '88 is now retired, after having served me between 120 and 300 miles a day (depending on whether I worked or not) for a year, then getting abused off road. The body stayed pretty straight until I laid it over on its side one night, which required a new door and fender.
mycherokee1.jpg (82690 bytes)mycherokee5.jpg (57201 bytes) My '94 XJ 4x2. It originally had a 4.0 HO and AW-4 auto. It was pretty stripped down, only having a tilt wheel, A/C, and nice tinted windows. I bought it as a rebuildable wreck, intending for it to be my daily driver. That was before I picked up my '88. It became a part's rig which kept my '88 going, and made me some money on the side.
wagoneer2.jpg (121587 bytes) '86 Grand Wagoneer. Original equipment was: 360 V-8, 727 Automatic, NP-208 transfer case, Dana 44 front axle and AMC 20 rear. Options included A/C, tilt wheel, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, power leather seats, and power mirrors. Click for more info.
5.jpg (49953 bytes)toyunderwtrx.jpg (103753 bytes) '81 Toyota SR-5 4x4 Pickup. This truck was kept almost bone stock the whole time I owned it. I bought it with a wood bed (as most Toyotas in New England come.) The only options it had were a tilt wheel and power brakes. The only modifications I performed were a frame bob, new bed, frame repair which included a redesigned crossmember and shock mounts, and long travel shocks. I trimmed the lower front portion off the front fenders and made a custom bumper and brush guard. I had room for 33" Kelly Wild Spirit tires. The pictures are out of order...it was right after I swamped the Toy that I made the custom snorkel. You, too, can have one for $15!
1sammy16.jpg (93369 bytes)1sammy12.jpg (33403 bytes) '87 Suzuki Samurai. It came to me bone stock in need of a paint job. As you can see, the paint job turned out great. unfortunately, my Samurai wound up shiny side down a couple of times. Within a few days of the paint job, I had the Samurai lifted with a spring over lift, and custom brush guard and front bumper. I ran this Samurai with the same 33" Kelly tires that I later put on my Toyota. I also installed a GRS-I transfer case gear kit.

My 1985 Jeep CJ-7. It had a 258, T-5, and tilt wheel. It was a near basket case when I got it. The transmission was out of it, and the Model 20 rear axle ate the pinion gear. I hunted down a Scout II with the help of a friend, and installed the Dana 44 in the rear of my CJ. The body tub was in need of some serious help, with the floors being almost nonexistent. After installing the Dana 44, I bolted on extended shackles and a set of 33" Kelly Wild Spirit tires. This was the first vehicle I used those tires on. They did get passed around a lot though!
