Notes Before Starting:
-This is a list of how resistent materials are to essence energy from temperable items. See Translated Ultimania Tempering Charts to find out how much energy each item has.
-A 5, 6, or 7 is considered low resistence. An 8 or 9 is average and the rest are considered highly resistent.
-I beleve these numbers also effect howw easily Strong-weak essences (Salamander, Gnome, Jinn, Undine) "eat" each other when not properly balanced. So, while something like Dior Wood may have low levels of Element Resistence, it can be a somewhat unstable material to work with if you're not careful.

Notes Before Starting:
-This chart indicates how the energy needed for raising an essence level is reduced with the addition of the cards "Sorceror" and "Witch".
-Just because you have 3 Sorceror cardss on an item doesn't mean that adding a Dryad Gold will immediately take you from 0 to level 7. But, theoretically, if you had a Dryad essence of 6 and then added 3 Sorceror cards and a Dryad Gold, that'd get you to level 7.
-Numbers in paranthesis mean it is impoossible to attain that number.
-I haven't tested this completely but II think that when you have an element card on an item (Wisp, Dryad, Jinn etc.) it adds the energy from any item you temper in afterwards to the essence that card represents. So if I have an item with Dryad and Jinn essence level 1 and there is a Dryad Card and Jinn Card on that item, then I could add something totally worthless like Demon Meat which has 16 energy and that would be enough to raise my Dryad and Jinn essence levels to 2.

*The formula for figuring essence level energy requirements normally is this:
Material Resistence × (2 ^ Current Essence Level)

- So, for example, if I wanted to know how much energy I need to take the Dryad essence in my Menos Bronze Sword from level 2 to level 3 I 'd look at the chart at the top of this page which tells me that the material of Menos Bronze has a Dryad resistence of 8. So then: 8 × (2 ^ 2) = 32
So you'd want to temper in something with at least 32 Dryad energy (ex: a Flat Seed) to get your Dryad essence level to 3 However, I've had trouble getting this to apply to Wisp and Shade levels.
-If your current essence level happens to be 0 then the energy needed for level 1 is always 8.
