.+Chii+. . Stats + Gallery ." Mommy, Daddy, I'm going to be a painter when I grow up ! " " Of course you are, sweetie ! " As the years passed, Chii's parents' response got a little harsher. They expected her to grow up: to realize that there was no money to be made as an artist. They wanted Chii to be practical, and have a good paying job with which to support herself and, in the future, a family. But Chii didn't care about practicality : she cared about painting. She cared about oils and water colours, canvas and easles. While the other girls decorated their faces with rougue and eye shadow, Chii was decorating her walls with murals of those people. When Chii turned fifteen, Mommy and Daddy had a talk with her. If she didn't wise up, and fast, they'd throw her out. When choosing between painting and her family, what would any normal person choose? Right. So Chii was thrown out, and found an apartment, where she went into starving artist-hood. And she was happy. |
