Contract, Career Development

Whatever I do, I'd like to make it last.
The longest I've held a ‘career' has been 12 years, as a teacher working for the Uruguayan National Education Administration. I quit when I found the whole concept was a failure, and personally a career dead-end.
Before, during and after I went up several career paths. Those that were fulfilling were too often of short duration or very low or inexistant pay.

What I am looking is for a setting where both parts will benefit from a long-term to permanent commitment, where the additional energy and enthusiasm I spend will truly work as investment for a long-lasting work relationship.

I look forward for opportunities of further training that would also build into that concept.
In the spirit of improving to better serve, and in case the job offered would be in the Adventure Education/Camping/Sailing fields, I expect to pursue these lines of study:

  • American Camping Association or corresponding local/national courses for Camp Directors and similar ones
  • Prepare for and pass local/national certifications as Able, or even as Instructor whenever possible, in First Aid, CPR, Sailing, Lifesaving.
  • Internet-based or non-resident studies in the fields of Adventure Education, Youth/Recreational Activities, and Camp Management.
Pay perspectives
Pay for me has nowadays a lot to do with mid- and long-range plans. In short, I am looking for a pay plan that will reasonably permit me to provide for a family in the foreseeable future. That is a primary concern for looking for a job overseas, since pay scales in South America are quite low.
I am ready to take on responsibilities, and I want my pay to reflect that.
