January 4, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the new e-library and gymnasium at Kim Chaek University of Technology. Kim was accompanied by Pak Pong Ju, premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, and Pak Nam Gi and Ri Kwang Ho, department directors of the C.C., the WPK, and Ri Jae Il, first vice department director of the C.C., the WPK.

January 6, 2006: Leader Kim Jong Il met Ku Tae Hong and Kim Hyok Il, six-year old boys of rare talent in calligraphy and painting, from the Ponbu Kindergarten in Sinuiju City. Kim was accompanied by Choe Thae Bok, Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Ki Nam, Kim Yong Chun, Kim Il Chol and others.

January 6, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, watched the performance "Blue Sky over My Country" given to celebrate the New Year. Also present in the audience were Kim Yong Chun, chief of the General Staff of the KPA, Kim Il Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, general officers including staff members of the Supreme Command of the KPA, Party officials and KPA servicepersons.

January 10, 2006: South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reports that Kim Jong Il's train has passed through North Korea into China. Kim is expected to travel to Beijing. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State and representative to the six party talks is due in Beijing possibly as early as January 12, though there are no reports linking the two visits.

January 10-18, 2006: KCNA has confirmed that Kim Jong Il paid an unofficial visit to the People's Republic of China from Jan. 10 to 18. Kim's trip included visits to Hubei Province and Guangdong Province, including Wuhan, Yichang, Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen. Kim held meetings with Chinese president Hu Jintao, NPC Chairman Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao. During his tour, Kim was joined by Members of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Jia Qinglin, Zeng Qinghong, Huang Ju, Wu Guanzheng, Li Changchun and Luo Gan, as well as DPRK Premier Pak Bong Ju, and senior officials with the DPRK's foreign ministry, the financial planning department and the science and education department of the WPK Central Committee and the DPRK cabinet. January 10-18, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, paid an unofficial visit to the People's Republic of China from January 10 to 18 at the invitation of Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China. Kim was accompanied by Premier of the Cabinet Pak Pong Ju, First Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Sok Ju, Department Directors of the WPK Central Committee Pak Nam Gi and Ri Kwang Ho and Vice-Premier of the Cabinet Ro Tu Chol. During the visit, Kim met with Hu Jintao and attended a banquet. Hu Jintao visited Kim at the state guest house and together they visited the Crop Research Institute under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. During the visit, Kim also met with Wu Bangguo, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wen Jiabao, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and premier of the State Council, and Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Kim Jong Il was seen off at Beijing Railway Station by Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., CPC and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Liu Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, and other leading officials of China.

January 10-18, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, paid an unofficial visit to the People's Republic of China. The first leg of his visit was Wuhan and Yichang cities of Hubei Province. Huang Ju, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice-premier of the State Council, kindly greeted Kim Jong Il in Wuhan upon the authorization of General Secretary Hu Jintao and the CPC Central Committee. While there, Kim visited the Changfei Optical Fiber and Optical Cable Company and Fenghuo Communications Co., Ltd., as well as the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River in Yichang, Hubei Province. Kim also went to Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen of Guangdong Province. Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, greeted Kim Jong Il in Guangzhou. Kim visited the Weichuangrixin Electronics Company, the Lianzong Stainless Steel Company Ltd., the Guangzhou International Conference and Exhibition Centre and a metro and cruised the Zhu River aboard a sightseeing boat to be briefed on the construction in Guangzhou City. Kim also visited different units including Zhongshan University, Xinghai Conservatory and the Dongsheng Farm Company Ltd. in Guangzhou, the Software Development Centre of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Gree Air Conditioner Production Company and the Eastcompeace Smart Card Co., Ltd. in Zhuhai and Yantian Port, Huawei Technologies, and the Dazu Laser Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen. Kim enjoyed a music and dance performance specially prepared by artistes from Beijing and Guangdong Province.

January 27, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected KPA Unit 932. Kim watched an art performance given by servicepersons of the sub-unit. He was accompanied by Ri Yong Chol, member of the Central Military Commission of the WPK and first vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

January 28, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, saw a performance of "Blue Sky over My Country" given at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on the occasion of the lunar New Year. Also present were Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, member of the NDC of the DPRK and chief of the General Staff of the KPA, KPA Vice Marshal Kim Il Chol, member of the NDC of the DPRK and minister of the People's Armed Forces, Jon Pyong Ho, Choe Thae Bok, Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Ki Nam and Kim Jung Rin, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, department directors and first vice department directors of the C.C., WPK and other senior officials of the Party Central Committee, leading officials of the ministries and national institutions and officials of scientific, educational, literary and art and media organizations. Also present were Wu Donghe, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of the Chinese embassy, Chinese technicians and specialists active at the Taean Friendship Glass Factory, Chinese guests staying here and Chinese students and trainees who are joining Korean people in celebrating the lunar New Year.

February 4, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, visited several sites in Kanggye City. Kim was accompanied by Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Ri Yong Chol and Jang Song Thaek, first vice department directors of the C. C., the WPK and met by Pak To Chun, chief secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the WPK, Ri Tuk Nam, chief secretary of the Kanggye City Committee of the WPK, and other senior officials of the province, the city and industrial establishments. Kim visited the Kanggye Wood Processing Factory, the Kanggye Koryo Medicine Processing Factory, the Jagang Provincial Branch of the Central Bank, the Hungju Chicken Farm, and toured Kanggye City. [NOTE: To the best of my recollection, this is the first time Kim has paid a public visit to a bank.]

February 6, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 1687. Kim was accompanied by KPA Vice Marshal Kim Il Chol, member of the NDC of the DPRK and minister of the People's Armed Forces, KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, Secretary of the C.C., the WPK Kim Ki Nam, First Vice Department Directors of the C.C., the WPK Ri Yong Chol, Jang Song Thaek and Ri Jae Il and Vice Department Director of the C.C., the WPK Hwang Pyong So.

February 15, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong-il, general secretary of the Korean Workers' Party and chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission, saw a performance given by the central military band of the Defense Ministry of Russia. Kim was greeted at the theatre by Valerii Khalilov, chief of the Military Orchestral Service and its chief conductor of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and Andrei Karlov, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.Also present were Premier of the DPRK Cabinet Pak Pong-ju, Chief of the KPA General Staff Kim Yong-joon who is member of the NDC of the DPRK, Minister of the People's Armed Forces Kim Il-chol who is member of the NDC of the DPRK, and Choe Thae-bok and Kim Ki-nam, secretaries of the Central Committee of the KWP, Vice-President of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly Yang Hyong-sop, First Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Sok-ju and leading cadres of the Party and the army, senior officials of ministries and national institutions and officials in the fields of literature and arts and media and KPA servicepersons, as well as the Russian ambassador and staff members of the Russian embassy.

February 17, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, enjoyed a performance given by the State Symphony Orchestra. Also present were Kim Yong Chun, member of the NDC of the DPRK and chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, Choe Thae Bok, Kim Kuk Thae and Kim Ki Nam, secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK, leading officials of the Party and the army and officials in the field of culture and arts.

February 23, 2005: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected KPA unit 120. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the C.C., WPK.

February 24, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected KPA Unit 226. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the C.C., WPK.

February 25, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the Munchon Kumgang Smeltery. Kim was accompanied by Ri Jae Il and Kim Tong Un, first vice department directors of the C.C., WPK.

March 2, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected KPA Air Force Unit 991 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led Seventh Regiment. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and First Vice Department Director Ri Jae Il and Vice Department Director Hwang Pyong So of the WPK Central Committee.

March 2, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected KPA Unit 1522.Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, First Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Ri Jae Il and Vice Department Director of the C.C., WPK Hwang Pyong So.

March 3, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, provided field guidance to the new cultural, sports and service facilities in Samjiyon town, including the Samjiyon Children's Palace, the Samjiyon County House of Culture, the Sports Village in Mt. Paektu area, and the newly-built Pegaebong Noodle Shop. Kim was accompanied by First Vice Department Director Ri Jae Il and Vice Department Director Hwang Pyong So of the WPK Central Committee.

March 5, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, provided field guidance to the construction site of the Samsu Power Station. Kim was accompanied by Ri Jae Il, first vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the same and met by Kim Kyong Ho, chief secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the WPK, Jang Yong Sok, chief secretary of the Hyesan City Committee of the WPK, Ju Hak Sim, chief secretary of the Samsu County Committee of the WPK, and leading officials of the construction command.

March 19, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected the forward commanding post of KPA Unit 851. Kim was accompanied by KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, member of the DPRK National Defence Commission and chief of the KPA General Staff, staff members of the KPA Supreme Command and KPA generals.

March 21, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected a women's sub-unit of KPA Unit 824. Kim was accompanied by Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Hwang Pyong So.

March 22, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected sub-units of KPA Unit 604. Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

March 23, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected the Command of Air Force Unit 435 of the KPA. Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

March 24, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected Unit 236 for Training Recruits of the Air Force of the KPA. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Hwang Pyong So.

March 25, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 3406. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Hwang Pyong So. (NOTE: The initial KCNA article is not entirely clear that the following was specifically said by Kim Jong Il, but it is certainly being relayed that way in international media. The timing of the statement comes as U.S. and ROK defense exercises kick off. ��Ԥ��Ǥ�ur army and people are turning out as one in the sacred anti-U.S. struggle with burning hatred for the U.S. imperialist aggressors and the unshakable resolution to take revenge upon them, he said, adding that no force on earth can match the single-mindedly united forces in the DPRK which no weapon can ever frighten or destroy.��)

April 5, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected an artillery company of KPA Unit 821 situated on the front. Kim ��Ԥ��ɤ�atched them undergo training in the spirit of hitting all enemy targets with burning hatred for the U.S. imperialist aggressors, the brigands.�� Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK.

April 6, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected a three-revolution red flag women's company of KPA Unit 292. Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

April 9, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Korean Workers' Party and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected the tank and armoured car drivers training sub-unit of KPA Unit 604. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, Ri Yong Chol and Ri Jae Il, first vice department directors of the CC., KWP, and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the same.

April 10, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected a sub-unit of KPA Unit 205 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and First Vice Department Directors of the C.C., WPK Ri Yong Chol and Ri Jae Il and Vice Department Director of the C.C., WPK Hwang Pyong So.

April 12, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected Unit 814 of the Air Force of the KPA. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Hwang Pyong So and Col. General O Kum Chol, commander of the Air Force of the KPA.

April 13, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected Unit 406 of the KPA Navy. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the WPK Hwang Pyong So.

April 16, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected a company of KPA Unit 760. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

April 22, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 196 situated in the front line area. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, First Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Ri Jae Il and Vice Department Director of the same committee Hwang Pyong So.

April 25, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 3240 stationed in a frontline area. Kim also visited a rice mill built by KPA Unit 549. Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

May 7, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, enjoyed an art performance given by the State Symphony Orchestra at the reconstructed Moranbong Theatre. Also present were Kim Kuk Thae and Kim Ki Nam, secretaries of the C.C., WPK, senior officials of the Party and the army and officials in the fields of culture and arts and media.

May 8, 2006 (?): Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, gave on-the-spot guidance to pig farm No. 110 newly built by KPA servicepersons. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong.

May 8, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, visited the Jangsuwon State Guest House to meet the Great King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia. Also present were the Great Queen Norodom Monineath, the entourage of the great king and Cambodian ambassador to the DPRK Chhorn Hay.

May 10, 2006: Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, provided on-site guidance to the newly built Pyongyang Conservatory on the bank of the Taedong River. Kim was accompanied by Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, and Ri Yong Chol and Ri Jae Il, first vice department directors of the WPK Central Committee.

May 11, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected a women's company of KPA Unit 838. Kim was accompanied by First Vice Department Directors of the WPK Central Committee Ri Yong Chol and Ri Jae Il and its Vice Department Director Hwang Pyong So.

May 15, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected a sub-unit of Unit 155 of the KPA Navy honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led seventh regiment. Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

May 16, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 1891. May 18, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, appreciated a performance given by art groups of families of servicemen of KPA Units 762 and 324 who had participated in the 9th contest among art groups of families of servicemen of the KPA. Also present were KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, member of the NDC of the DPRK and chief of the KPA General Staff, KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong, KPA general officers, Ri Yong Chol, Ri Je Gang and Ri Jae Il, first vice department directors of the Central Committee of the WPK, Cha Sung Su, chairman of the Radio and Broadcasting Committee of the DPRK, Kim Ki Ryong, director general of the Korean Central News Agency, and other leading officials.

May 20, 2006: Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, appreciated together with servicepersons of the KPA a performance given by art groups of families of servicemen of KPA Units 488 and 534 who had participated in the 9th contest among art groups of families of servicemen of the KPA. August 15, 2006: General Secretary Kim Jong Il watched a performance given by the State Merited Chorus of the KPA. September 14, 2006: General Secretary Kim Jong Il provided field guidance to Mt. Kumgang resort. Kim climbed the Piro Peak,and said that Mt. Kumgang, which had long been a resort for the exploiting class only, turned into a splendid recreation ground for the people in the era of the Workers' Party. Kim was accompanied by Korean People's Army Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong.

November 3, 2006: General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected KPA Unit 1112 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment. Kim was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK.

November 5, 2006: General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected the Kamnamu Battery honored with the title of the Thrice Three-Revolution Red Flag of KPA Unit 595. He met Son Kyong Sil, political instructor of the battery who is the eldest daughter of Om Pok Sun's soldiers' family, and Kim Yong Bok, battery commander who is granddaughter by a daughter of a coastal artilleryman on Wolmi Island to praise their patriotic deeds of standing guard over the country with arms following in the footsteps of their parents. Kim was accompanied by Ri Jae Il, first vice department director of the C.C., WPK, and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the same.

November 6, 2006: General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave on-site guidance to the new Wonsan Stock Farm (for raising goats, rabbits, pigs, ducks and geese) located on the mountain ridges in Tochan-ri, Popdong County.
