As the Chinese saying goes, "below the sky don't have gatherings that don't end", so too are our days in Lansing. The last 5 months seemed to pass by in a flash. It seemed like only yesterday when we first arrived in Detroit and saw snow for the first time...Still, it was something else to experience the season change in Lansing. When the weather turned warmer towards the end of April, it was fascinating to see the migration of students outdoors. Even the ducks took time off the chilling river to wonder around the posh, green lawn.
Spring is really the season to be glad that you're alive. Everyone's out in the sun, playing their favourite game of catch and throw, be it Frisbee or Football or Baseball.
We had very good seats too. Right behind the catcher. Even though there was a net between us, every time the ball flies towards us, all of us would still duck instinctively. Of course, nothing would constitute "being alive" if we didn't attempt to do something outrageous before we leave the country of the free... Presenting our DARING attempt to be funky... We tried to dye our hair brown. So we bought a bottle of dye and dyed away... Here you see me pouring half of the bottle on Ka Min's head while trying to convince him that I was only putting a little. Junie was too busy laughing which explained this er ... not too well taken photo. Oh, by the way, if you see either of us recently, you would notice that the attempt was a failure... My hair hardly turned a tad brown while Ka Min had a round patch of brown on his cos' he kept on applying the dye on himself. Turned out that his hair was unevenly dyed ...heehee... Just the way to end off our stay in Lansing. *_^
