We stayed at Meng Hua's room at UWO. His is this grand apartment (condo-style) which he shares with 2 other roommates. Didn't get to see much of London though, since we arrived late and had to leave early the next day.

Next Stop: Niagara Falls. (About 2 hours drive from London)

We arrived there in the afternoon. As we made our way to the star attraction site, anticipation hung in the air as we were all prepared to be in awe at the great Falls.

When we finally saw bits of it from afar, Shoba let out a "That's it???" (typically of her) in disbelief. Turned out that what we saw was just a tiny tiny part of the Falls. It was not even the main Falls.

For the uninitiated, Niagara Falls is generally divided into 2 main Falls, the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls (Canadian Falls). The Horseshoe Falls looks grander and more spectacular, and is also less visible from where we were.

Imagine the moment of magic we felt when we were finally able to take in the entire sight of the Falls.

The Horseshoe Falls (or the Canadian Falls)

Note how
the water "plunges" into the gorge. This is a view of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

A group photo by the romantic site of Niagara Falls.
As you probably notice, we were trying hard not to
hide the falls behind us, but to no avail...

We stayed the evening to catch the night illumination of the Falls. In summer, there are supposed to be scheduled displays of fireworks which we could only imagine in the cold winter night sky...
