Customize That Old Frame

Photos and information are courtsey of Ronnie Pettit. He's painted his own singlespeed frames and is hoping to drum up a little business. He's also figured out a good way to paint components, like levers, seatposts, etc, and make the finish very durable. Still, any finish will chip if it takes a hard enough hit with something hard enough. A good crash on gravel just might leave a mark

Ronnie is willing to do some painting for either cost or free that might help get him some future business. Since he rides and loves his singlespeeds, he has a "soft spot for the SS because most are built from old tired frames that could use a face lift or maybe just a little flash to put a gearboy and his shiny new FS in their place".

Ronnie says, "It cost me 140 bucks to buy the paint and clearcoat for my Yeti. For econo paints and clear it might cost me 50 bucks or less. I have developed a way to make the less expensive airbrush signpaint very durable but the clear coat will yellow some over time if painted over white. Other than that it looks great".

These paint jobs have really got me lusting to have my own customized singlespeed paint job! Contact Ronnie if you'd like to get your frame painted up.
