33 Years of Hiking

Rocky Mountain National Park

We're Back

We're back from almost two beautiful weeks of hiking in Rocky and Indian Peaks Wilderness. I've put up some pics of the trip. I'll be moving this website soon, Geocities is too limiting on data transfer.

Good grief! I still haven't put up the pics from our 2005 trip. Guess they'll be coming soon.

The Park

Rocky Mountain National Park is located about 70 miles NW of Denver in North-Central Colorado. The 414 sq. mile park has 156 named lakes and 78 mountain peaks over 12,000', capped by 14,259' Longs Peak. Trail Ridge Road connects the east and west sides of the park. Topping out at 12,183', it's the highest continuous highway in the U.S.

A Little About The Page

We've been going to Rocky since 1975. These are the pictures and stories of the trails we've hiked, peaks we've climbed and lakes visited. Most of the pics are from after '87 because so many of the old ones have faded.

Who You'll Meet

As you're going through these pages, you'll meet a bunch of different people. Let me introduce them to you. Our clan consists of my wife Flo, darlin daughter Alli, son Andy and myself, I'm Bob. The others you'll run into are our best friends Nancy and Rick, their kids Megan and Tommy, Kim and Steve, Sandy, Betsie and Jason, John and Sandy and their kids Jeff and Mike, Jim and Bev, and the famous smile of Heidi.
