    Dog Trails:All
Flora and Fauna:Spring brings many rare wildflowers to the rocky hills and forests of the park. Some of the most interesting features of the park, however, are geologic. There are several interesting and scenic outcroppings in the park such as Wolf Rock, Chimney Rock, and Hog Rock.
General Info.:A visitors center is located at the bottom of the park main road. Maps, park information, and a museum and nature display of the park can be found there. Although the park is open year round, the main road is closed in winter months.
Special Notes:Catoctin is right across from Cunningham Falls SP. While the NP allows dogs on all trails and in the campgrounds, Cunningham Falls is somewhat more restrictive. Dogs are allowed in the "undeveloped" areas of the park, which includes most trails. Off limits areas in the SP include the Falls, camping and picnic areas, and the lake area.
