23 Aug 1782:  "Jeremiah Bradshaw and the church wardens of Nottoway Parish against Charles Irby.  For reasons appearing to the court it is ordered that this suit be dismissed."

This day came the parties by their attorneys and the Defts saith that they have paid the debt in the declaration mentioned in manner and form as the Plt against them hath declared and of this they puteth themselves upon the country and the Plt likewise and the trial is referred til the next Court."

 The same as before except for 200 [pounds] specie the debt in declaration specified and his costs by him in this behalf expended and the said defendant in mercy. But this judgment is to be discharged by the payment of one hundred pounds like money with lawful interest thereon from the 6th day of October 1784 to the time of payment and his costs. 

22 Jul 1756:  "John Bradshaw is appointed Surveyor of the highway from Captain Edward Booker's Quarter to the West Creek in the Room of James May who is discharged from that office."

1768-1769: "Ordered that William Thompson pay unto Richd. Bradshaw 110 [pounds] tobacco for 2 days attendance and once travelling 20 miles as witness for him in his suit against Johnson."

1788-1791: "Ordered that John Worsham pay unto Thomas Bradshaw 110 pounds gross tobacco for 2 days attendance and once travelling 20 miles as a witness for him in his suit against Jones."

24 Jul 1767:  "Ordered that Allen R. Young pay unto Wm. Bradshaw 100 [pounds] nett tobacco for 4 days . . . once as a witness for him in his suit against Sturdivant."
