This Indenture made this thirteenth day of january in the year of our lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between William Cercey Senr and Robert Atkins both of Prince Edward County and St. Patricks parish of the one part and John Bradshaw of the same Parish and County of the other part Witnefseth that the said Cercey & Atkins for and in Consideration of Sixty two pounds Eight shillings Current Money of Virginia of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said John Bradshaw the recipt whereof the said William Cersey and Robert Atkins doth hereby acknowledge Hath granted bargained & sold unto the said John Bradshaw his Heirs and afsigns forever, one Certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being in Prince Edward County on the lower Fork of Sandy River containing by Estimation Two hundred & eight acres, be the same more or lefs, and is bounded as followeth (to wit) beginning at Daniel Hamblins Corner Hickory, thence along his line to a Corner Hickory in a new line, thence along the new line Strait to Corner white oak, thence West thence west 12 degrees South 244 poles to Hamblins line, thence along his line North 17 Degrees West 67 poles to his corner, thence West 23 Degrees North 26 poles to the beginning Now this Indenture witnefseth that the said Scearcy and Atkins for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty two pounds Eight shillings, Current money of Virginia hath given granted sold and Confirmed, and the said William Searsey and Robert Atkins, Both for themselves their heirs Executors, administrators, both by these presents give grant sell and confirm unto John Bradshaw his Heirs & afsings all his Estate and Interest which he hath in and to the said two hundred and eight Acres of land together with all and every of its Appurtenances.  to have and to hold pofsefs and Enjoy the said land & premises and every part thereof with their and every of their appurtenances together with their Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders unto the said John Bradshaw and Afsigns forever to the only used and behoof of the said John Bradshaw his Heirs and Afsins, and the said William Searsey and Robert Atkins for themselves and their Heirs Executors Administrators and Afsigns and every of their Covenant and agree by these presents to and with the said John Bradshaw his Heirs and Afsigns that they the said William Searsey Senr & Robert Atkins their heirs and Afsigns shall and will warrant and forever defend the said land and premises and to the said John Bradshaw, to his Heirs and Afsigns and against all & every other person or persons whatsoever from laying any Claim, Right or Title to the said land and premises, In witnefs whereof the said William Searsey and Robert Atkins to these presents hath set their hands and affixed their seal's the day and year first above written.

At a court held for Prince Edward County March 19th 1770  The within deed from William Searsey Senr and Robert Atkins to John Bradshaw was presented in court and proved by three of the witnefses thereto as to William Searsey and Atkins in ledgio by the said Robert Atkins party also to this deed, and ordered to be recorded.
