This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of April in the Year of our Lord Christ, one thousand seven hundred and Ninety four between Thomas Bradshaw of Prince Edward County of the one part and Margaret Bradshaw of the sd. County of the other Part Witnefseth that the said Thomas Bradshaw for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge hat granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell, and deliver, unto the siad Margaret Bradshaw her heirs and Afsigns one certain tract or Parcel of Land Situate, Lying and being in the County of Prince Edward, and on the branches of Sandy River, and bounded by the Lands of Elijah Hudson John Bradshaw deceased Frederick Wells, George Ford and Charles Gordon, Containing 40 Acres more or lefs, including all woods ways, waters and Water courfses thereon standing, growing and being and likewise all the Rights title, Interest, claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Bradshaw, of us or to the Premifses or any part thereof to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land and premises together with their and every of their Appurtenances, unto the said Margaret Bradshaw her heirs and afsigns forever,  to the only use and behoof her, and the said Thomas Bradshaw for him self and his heirs the said Land and Premifses with their Appurtenances unto the said Margaret Bradshaw her heirs and Afsigns will Warrant & forever defend in Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and Year first above Written

At a Court held for Prince Edward County October the 20th 1794
    This Indenture was presented in Court and Acknowledged by Thomas Bradshaw party thereto to be his act and deed and Polly his Wife being Privily Examined  Relinquished her Right to Dower in the land in the Deed  Mentioned and ordered to be Recorded and Certified
