Know
all men by these presents that I Robert Bradshawe of Mattapanye
in the County of Northumberland, Planter, for divers good causes
& consideracons mee thereunto moveing doe bynd & engage
myselfe to deliver or to be delivered unto Temperance Bradshawe
a Pattent for Three hundred fourty & five acres of Land (by
() first conveniences it comes to my hand) scituate lying &
being upon Mattapanye River in the County of Northumberland and
joyning to the land of me the siad Robert Bradshawe, which said
land of 345 acres I ye sd Robert Bradshaw doe by me my heirs
& admrs. confirme and acknowledge in the Court Court unto
the said Temperance Bradshawe her heires & assignes for ever
in as large & ample maner as it is exprest to me in the
Pattent And allsoe I the said Robert Bradshawe doe bynd my
selfe as aforesaid that the said Temperance her heires &
assignes for ever shall peaceably & quietly possess &
injoy all the land within the fence of the Plantacon & all
the houseing thereon where shee, the said Temperance, now liveth
without the lett molectacon or disturbance of me ye said Robert
Bradshawe my heires or assignes and further I doe bind &
engage my selfe as aforesaid to pay the one halfe of all such
debts of tobacco as were made eyther in the name of John
Bradshawe or between him & mee the said Robert from the
yeare 1640 to the year 1653, unto all & every of ye p:misses
of the said Robert, I the said Robert Bradshawe have hereunto
sett my hand this 22th of October 1655 |
