Know all men by these
presents that we George Hannah & John Bratcher are held & firmly bound unto Henry
Lee Esquire Governor or chief Magistrate of the State of Virginia in the Sum of Fifty
Pounds Current Money which Payment Well and truly to be made to the said Henry Lee or to
his Succefsors we bind ourselves & each of us our & each of our joint &
Several Heirs & firmly by these presents with our Seals dated this 2nd day of November
1792
The Condition of the above Oblign is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly
intended to be had & solemnized between George Hannah and Betsey Bratcher - now if
there shall be no lawful Cause to obstruct the said Marriage Then the above Oblign to be
void else to remain in full force & Virtue
