Fairies, Goddesses, and Angels

	Sharie lives somewhere on my property. She was the first fairy to have her portrait done. I don't know much about her, except when she is about, her song goes through my mind.		Applejack lives in my orchard. He sometimes appears as a dragonfly. He followed me all around the orchard and hovered very close making sure I would notice him. I stopped and spoke to him. Here he is posing for this portrait wearing his dragonfly wings.

	The Goddess of the power of thought came to me two years ago. I was learning how my thoughts influenced my world and everything in it.		I saw Iris while I was attending a psychic fair. She appeared before me and blocked out the entire room and everything in it. It is because of her appearance that I started reading cards at fairs. Being and artist, of course, I drew her immediately. I have done several paintings of her.

	When this angel came to me I was concerned about earth changes. I felt her sadness. She is smiling bravely, but her mouth seems to quiver and I feel she is ready to burst into tears at any moment. What she wants and needs is a great deal of tender loving care for the earth.		I have the ability to ask for and receive any angel I want to draw or paint. I was interested in drawing a guardian angel for a boy. When I sat down to draw with out asking for the angel to come to me and influence my drawing, the drawing would be some what awkward. How ever when I remember to ask, the drawing flows and has life.

I saw Mother Mary in a meditation. She was holding the Christ Child much like this. The picture was done for a class. The requirements were to use elements from three different periods. I used Raphiel's Madonna and Child and cupids. The background is by Van Goue. I have forgotten who's work the structure came from. In order to paint or draw, there must be a flow of ideas. Occasionally we artists can experience what is sometimes called "writers block." There simply are not any ideas, no images in our minds that can be translated into our work. I know that I have had this problem from time to time. A book that helped me is "The Artist's Way : A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity" by Julia Cameron. I recovered my creativity through the use of the twelve week program in her book. It unlocks blocks from limiting beliefs, fear, self-sabotage, jealousy, guilt, addictions, and other inhibiting inner forces that I didn't even realize were there. The thing I found most useful and still use, are the "pages." The "pages" are two hand written pages (both sides) done every morning. I wrote anything that came into my head, my anger at someone for their treatment of me, my joy in nature when I wrote outdoors. I wrote unspeakable things and wonderful things. As I wrote down my feelings I seemed to become free of the block, what ever it was. My creativity soared. After a while I discontinued the "pages", but found I needed to go back to writing them. It only takes about 30 minutes to write that much and I found the time I gave to the "pages" worth it.
